max power = 132.1 rwhp
max torque = 131.4 rwhp
this was done back then when i still had my 91 KA in my coupe.
engine mods:
1.K&N filter.
2.100% stock 91 KA wit 160k miles.
3.Leaking valve seal (burning oil).
Now I have a 95 KA in my coupe
according to my butt dyno, it is slightly quicker now. :)

Maeda, what are the specs on that turbo? Awesome numbers for only 4.35 psi, and taking into consideration the general rule of thumb , +1 psi = +10 hp. You should be looking at right over 300whp at 10 psi.

And for Maeda's turbo.... if it's already at its peak efficiency, more boost may not add power so linearly.... guess we just gotta wait for him to dyno at 10 :p
Waiting for me to get that T28 and the e-manage before my ignition kills my motor, too :tweak:

I was looking around, Some eclipses/talons came with T25's, same turbo or no?

When I had my Ka , I was N/A at 149.4 hp and 147 lbt.
mods were:
-trust cat back
-strait pipe 4 cat
-intake
-no ac
-no fan clutch
-breather valves and removed resinator
I think that was it? I did some more mods after the dyno
custom intake piping and Iridium plugs, may be an extra 5-8 hp?
In total I got aroung 180 -185 flywheel hp for <300$ , It was fast as crap, beating stock stang 5.0's, but then again it weighed 2300lbs. Ka , aint no joke. I like that motor. but the sr is also good , so I went with that.

Not impossible.. I have seen several freakish KA's around. Most take about every bolt on there is + ECU tuning to get to 155-160.
And about the Turbo KA on stock injectors.. With a rising rate fuel pressure riser, he could go well beyond the 205 hp you stated since he would be running much higher fuel pressure. With a 10:1 FMU and 10psi he would have the equivelent of around 500cc/min injectors.
BoostedKA - Do you know what ratio your FMU was using?
For future reference.. see here:
http://www.csgnetwork.com/fiflowcalc.html
( convert cc/min to lb/hr by cc/min/10.5 ex. 270cc/10.5 = 25.71 lb/hr )
Jeff240sx
04-16-2004, 03:15 PM
You'd need an 8:1 FMU plate in there, run around 127psi of rail pressure at full boost, and the Walbro 255 liter/hr hi-pressure pump will pump an astounding 1 gallon per hour. Without a better description of his setup, what level of tuning (and with stock injectors, I'd say no tuning.. and a bsfc of .6-.65 rather than the .45 that I posted earlier for the benefit-of-the-doubt), ect.
Cliffs Notes:
Impossible on stock injectors without some badass pumps. Yes. More than one pump. Un-possible.

The fact is all this stuff that you guys are saying about injector duty cycle just theoretical and can vary from injector to injector. he actually did put the power down whether you believe it or not i don't really give a fuck. :fawkd:
Jeff240sx
04-16-2004, 04:37 PM
No. Its pretty much generally accepted numbers, and I did give him the benefit of the doubt in my first post. I gave him 95% duty cycle. Not many injectors will actually flow there without going static. He did not put the power down until a dyno graph (uncorrected and corrected) go up. I wouldn't second guess 200rwhp on 270cc injectors.. but 260-280 is absolutely insane to believe. That's where injectors 1.5 times larger max out under normal circumstances. It's un-probable and nearly impossible.
There may be some correction trickery that was done, which is why I'd like to know both numbers or see both graphs.

[QUOTE]
I'm praying for 350+ at the wheels >=D
Turbo is MUCH MUCH MUCH bigger then a t3. The compressor side is from a 6.5l diesel commercial vehicle, and I BELIEVE the exhaust side is from a T3.
I'ts huge. I know it can't be at peak effieciency.
If you can make 300 our of a tiny T25 I BETTER make 300 out of this monstrosity... otherwise i'm switching set ups. :p
sykikchimp
04-18-2004, 12:12 AM
At 280 CRANK hp, Given a .55 bsfc it would only take 425cc injectors to do what he is saying. (.55 is crappy, and giving him the benefit of the doubt.)
He would actually only need a 6.7:1 fmu for that. 7:1 for sake of accesibility, and engine safety.
With the lower .45 BSFC, he could pull off 270-280whp with that fmu, and he could do it with a 5.3:1 FMU with around 95psi of fuel pressure. If I'm not mistaken, one could get around this with an adjustable FMU like the Cartech unit. At that pressure a 255lt/hr (high pressure) walbro would flow b/w 22-32 gallons/hr. 90% of 400cc injectors is 360cc = ~5.4 gph
Just pointing out that it is totally possible.

Umm...ok you guys are so childish. First you call bs saying that it's not possible to have those numbers with stock injectors and want a dyno sheet. So my brother posts a dyno sheet and now you are saying it's for an integra. Unless you want to host the dyno sheet don't complain. the pdm car puts down 166 with intake, exhaust, cams, header, pulley, and i think its well over 100k miles, no ecu tunning......id say 180 hp is possible on the ka at about the time of needing the ecu to finish up, i should have my smoke monster dynoed this spring. my dyno will be with bad rings though, i shoot little blue smoke balls.

Alex Chang's old S13 only put down like 160 with everything and head work..
One of my local friends with an S14 put down 161 w/ intake, exhaust, JWT ECU, JWT S2 cams, and pulley.
My personal car put down 121whp w/ CAI, and 5zigen fireball.
I'm just saying 155whp is a LOT on just an exhaust and intake, and very rare to see.
