Anyone ever considered contacting nissan of japan for this? I don't have a japanese text translator nor do i know Japanese, but if you do it would be a big help on finding out a price on this product! They should sell the full ground effects kits as replacements for ones in Japan from here. Find out some prices and ask Nissan about group buys!!! Thanks -Matt

Well maybe I'm wrong on the name of the body kit, this is the one I'm talking about, like the type-x in Japan!

I believe the 96.5 front bumper is like $800 brand new, that doesn't include the optional lower lip or the turn signals. Also add the freight charge from Japan to the cost as well. Not worth it unless you can get it used.

the wheels were also available on some s14s, and they can be found pretty cheap used.

Nissan Japan will not sell parts directly to customers in the USA, and even to shops over here... my friend just came back and was trying to work something out for his shop, to no avail... best bet is to find an exporter and go through them to get one... it's not cheap, but one guy over here (Hawaii) got a brand new OEM 96.5+ 180sx bumper and is having a few copies made, sell a few and he makes his money back... oh and btw earlier gneration 180sx also used the Type X moniker... it refers to a trim/option line (i.e. base model, SE, and LE on our cars)...
edit: oh and those rims were also offered as an option for base model, 4-lug S14's... i see quite a few of them running around w/ those over here. IIRC only very minor diff between the S14 vs. the G20 ones are that the G20 rims have a polished lip and S14's don't

Sometimes we get lucky with front clips with the Type X front bumper with it =). We can order it new for you, but it is not cheap. Also, we do have a few Type X replica wings available. Email me for pricing
Thanks!

2 things:
I e-mailed one of the US's biggest Nissan import companies and they gave me a number for Nissan support and seemed about 99.9% sure they could get me the part. I also e-mailed www.autoimaging.com and decided to hold off a day or 2 from calling Nissan for myself. Hopefully these guys will be able to get us a better price or group deals.
2nd:
Here is a better pic of the car to see this bumper's true beauty!
