Whats up zilvia. im new here and new to the s-chasis. im currently working on building an rb25 powered s13 street/strip car. well i have a friend selling a q45 diff that i would like to put in to handle the power and save me some cash instead of buying am aftermarket diff. i wanna stay 4 lug because i just bought all the suspension, ball joints, and wheel bearings. its a 1992 q45 so it has the 5 bolt flange which means i need z32tt and q45 axles. which means i gotta go 5 lug, which totally bones a bunch of parts i just bought. is there anyway to install this diff and make it work in my car. also im shooting for 650 whp so its gonna need to be stout.

before everyone busts my balls about 4 lug, i want to stay for 4 lug for the smaller brakes so i can run smaller wheels which allows more side wall to wrinkle when i launch

Get an aftermarket or J30/S13/S14/later model Q45 diff unless you're willing to spend a few hundred dollars finding the correct axles/hubs and then also going 5-lug.

there's a writeup somewhere on getting it into an S13 subframe.

the gearing might mess you up though... it's got what? a 3.6?

80mph at 2000-2200rpm would be awesome.. lol

All you have to do to get in into the subframe is swap the cover...unless you're talking about the axles/hubs?

The earlier model had a 3.54 and the later had 3.69.

how would that gearing effect the SR? i'd need to be at a higher RPM to put down the power right?

You sacrifice acceleration for higher top speed.
