Okay, so, when I was 18 I built my very own AR-15. Something that I had about 600 dollars in. All brand new parts. Keep in mind, I was a high school student, working a minimum wage job, so this was pretty much where all my funds went at the moment.

Recently, my best friend offered to trade me a Springfield 45 for my Ar. The deal was I gave him the AR-15, a case, three mags, and 30 rounds. He was giving me a Springfield 45, 2 magazines, case, holster, shoulder sling, something like 30 rounds, and picked up my tab at the local bar.

I've posted pictures, but what i wanted to ask you guys was do you think i made a fair trade? I guess it all depends on what an individual wants, but what would you have done?

I made my decision on the fact that I had my concealed carrying license and i felt that the Springfield would have been a little more practicable for me to carry, BUT I also feel that i had a lot of sentimental value in my Ar-15, as it was the first weapon I had ever built on my own, with no help from anyone. To add on, me and my buddy made the agreement that if either of us ever decides to sell the Ar or the 45, it has to first be offered to one of us.

It's a fair trade dood. You get the functionality of the .45 with your cwp, that you want, and you 2 made a deal that you get first dibs on it if it was to get sold. My springfield .45 was around 780.00 new.
