Well, we decided it would be cool to have the first official norcal touge friends touge meet this friday. It will be at the dennys parking lot. Hope to see you all there..There is also a touge close by.. fun for later maybe.

hahah i went driving with them for the last 2 weeks.....pretty quick i could hardly keep up, and my corolla is moded up......... but then agine i'm not that good of a driver :duh: :-/ .......

I also agree. Driver skill is important but your car is easy to drive fast. I bet i could drive your wrx faster down woodside than i can drive my s13 on my first try.

no rivalry that i know of. I have no beef with wrx drivers unless they talk smack about beating other drivers, in which case i would challenge any of them to switch cars and try again.

i know exactly what roads surround that area and run them regularly and they are all nice and empty these days...let's not change that...

I dont really know for sure, but ask westborough, he saw it happen. I was the second car back and when we turned off onto another road and waited for them, nobody came and we went back pretty far and thought that they had just bitched out and ran a well known road back up, but then we got to parking lot down somewhere and we heard a loud car drive by so we figured we would catch up to him and say whats up and then that turned out to be westborough and he told us that the dude had crashed and that was that.

It was my friend that crashed. I actully didnt see it happen. friend was behind me, and i was behind a FWD corolla. I felt the need to go a bit faster since the guy in front was going a little slow(driving his own pace though ) so i passed him.. friend can drive fast, but he wasnt.He stayed behind the corolla. Something happened around a turn...he fishtailed 3 times and hit a big post with his front left fender. Broken tc rod, control arm, maybe bent strut..the usual. I've driven with friend before. He is a good driver and i dont doubt something out of the ordinary happened.

I left cause friend was ok. Fire trucks came and set up road flares as he waited for the tow truck. I dont know if cops showed, or if insurance was notified.

Ubercaffe:We should definitely do it again..but i'm getting more and more reluctant to take my s13 out cause i'm scared to crash it. I think i need a daily driver car that handles so if something happens my head wont hit the roll cage..

Ew, yea, we finished the route and we got up to skyline and at the very top parking lot there was 2 CHP hanging out w/ all stealth style parked opposite of eachother talking. We followed their lead and dissapeared into the darkness very stealthily.
The east bay people apparently got busted that night also. I heard reports that there was mad copulation everywhere last friday night.

I've seen up to 5 CHP chillin in the lot, but i dont trip. As long as they are out of their cars i am comfortable parking next to them. One time the Sheriff asked what we were doing up there and i said we're going on a drive, plain and simple. They know what's up why else would we be there in fixed up cars @ 1am. I figure being honest with them is the best way. If they bust us on the drive o well, we had it coming

Well, my friends will be out there and will be going for a drive on hella low-key backroads out in the cuts of nowhere so if you want to join them, same place same time. These roads are excellent beautiful roads that are only touched by the locals.
