hello all, ill get right to the point. I have a '93 S13 that I would like to do the type x/180sx/rps13 front bumper on. The terminology is kicking my ass, i cant tell up or down from all the different names of these body kits. Ill try to keep it simple.

I have this:

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o177/revsk8erdude/240%20EBAY/IMG_0848_zps12622f99.jpg

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o177/revsk8erdude/240%20EBAY/IMG_0860_zpsa8c7bde2.jpg
http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o177/revsk8erdude/240%20EBAY/IMG_0840_zpsdc73e892.jpg
http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o177/revsk8erdude/240%20EBAY/IMG_0842_zps818a5b2c.jpg
http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o177/revsk8erdude/240%20EBAY/IMG_0844_zpsf91f973f.jpg

I want this kit, but with this bumper without the front tag/plate holder:

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o177/revsk8erdude/5452303576_dff6e210c1_b_zpsa783fca3.jpg

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o177/revsk8erdude/5399368886_11153541a9_b_zps88119c27.jpg

if someone would be so kind to point me in the right direction as to where this kit is at that would be fantastic. i got the picture of the front bumper from VISracing.com so i know they have it. as for the side skirts and the rear bumper pieces, im at a loss. will the "type x" bumper pieces fit on to the stock rear bumper?

also, if anyone has done this in the past could you please share your fitment and "flushness" experiences as to how well it all joined together.

oh, and if anyone is wondering, yes that is the xenon front lip that WILL be for sale after i get the other bumper fitted on properly. i will be more than happy to work with anyone who wants it.

There's OEM aero like the cars you posted and there's aftermarket bumpers like the VIS's 180sx style aero that you posted.

If you want OEM, Frsport, Nissanparts.cc, and other vendors sell the front bumper along with the necessary parts to make it work on the USDM chassis. The side skirts could also be purchased via FRsport but will not come with the end caps. Good luck finding OEM rear valences and aftermarket ones like G-Grow or Hot Road or whatever else is out there is hard to find and taxed according to how rare/hard to find they are. OEM front bumpers have the front plate but if you have the tools/skills to shave it off go for it.

And then there's aftermarket aero kits. The more reputable ones (like BN, Vertex, etc.) fit very well but are expensive as hell. They are typically not OEM style like the Levan and Damon's cars that you posted.

As a general rule of thumb, knock off aero typically doesn't fit well & the ones that need less work to modify usually are better. OEM is best. Use the search function or google to find out what fits and what doesn't. Or ask in this thread: http://zilvia.net/f/chat/507419-aero-fender-fitment-thread.html, you may get an answer.

Please do more research, the answers are within this forum.

It's KOUKI, not "Type X".

OEM has the plate holder and some aftermarket kouki 180sx bumpers do not have the plate holder like that VIS and others like Version Select VI

It's KOUKI, not "Type X".

actually it is type x aero.. kouki merely reffers to it being the later year s13 model.. nissan came out with the revised s13 in later years in type X and type S models each with slight differences to the body and features itself... do your hmk bro.

and for the topic id just buy all the oem aero from a kouki and then just get the vis front bumper.

^^ Pretty much what I did.

Like zoopreme said already, most replica bumpers/kits fit terribly or need a lot of work to fit decently. I ended up getting replica Frp rear valences, which fit "ok" with a fair amount of work. G-Grow sideskirts which fit like a dream, and the VIS kouki 180sx replica front bumper. Surprisingly, the VIS bumper fit VERY well with very minimal trimming needed. It all depends on how much money you can spend.

Edit: if you're concerned with the plate mount, the pignose front bumper version works excellent with the vis bumper..

"Kouki" is a term reserved for the higher-ups who own a '97-'98 240SX/200SX or '96-'98 Silvia, sorry S13 chumps.

You are wrong. ALL kouki 180sx's came with that front bumper, NOT just the type-x kouki's. The front lip, sideskirts, wing, and rear valences were also an OPTION on ALL kouki 180sx's, NOT just the type-x.

Do YOUR homework bro...

It's actually not called Kouki or Type-X. It's called 1996-1998 Nissan 180sx.

You realize that "kouki" is just a term to describe late model right? It can be applied to any car...

The rest of the aero was still an OPTION on all late model 180sx's, it just came STANDARD on the type-x 180's. It's kouki 180sx aero, type-x is just the popular fanboy term.

That's what's been giving me the most trouble... There's so many different options and names for the same car.

But anywho, I'll be glad to sell the chuki side skirts as soon as others are on. No interest in the lip?

What's the name of the "type x" side skirts again? Would VIS make them?

No manufacturer makes 180sx kits all around. Theyre all FRP material so i suggest stick with the OEM stuff. Its expensive but its worth it.

I dont know what that guy is talking about, but there is only one 180sx Kouki. People call them Kouki, 180sx, type-X... theyre all the same for sideskirts and rear valences. The front lip is what makes a 180sx a type-X

but dam, i dont recall ever seeing a blue s13 that clean. Drop it 2in and it would look sexy as fk!

Not sure what you mean.. but that is a complete 180sx Sideskirt.

Think this will give you a better idea of what 180sx kit is. This is from Kriskouki (http://zilvia.net/f/members/kriskouki.html) fs thread, first one is a 180sx kit. Second one with the lip will make it a type-x kit.

dude im not hating but look it up man... there were 3 models of the kouki all had the same front bumper but the type X was the only one that came with the whole aero kit standard. the others had the option to have it installed from the dealer... Type S, Type X and Type R interior options slightly differed as well..

I realize that who gives a flying fuck what you call it. "You" being a generalized people, of course. Kouki, Type-X, 1998. For fucks sake it's the same shit.

I have a pet peeve for "type-x". For some reason it annoys the crap outta me, besides the fact that it's not really the correct term. It probably has something to do with all the "type-x" threads posted by fanboys. At least once a day there's a new one...
