Hey i just got my sr20de-t installed it has 114,000km (~70k) miles on it runs good and pulls hard just wondering what kind of test i could have done on engine to make sure it is running the way its spose to. I have a 30 day warrenty on engine and want to make sure i get what i payed for. I am having a dyno run done next week and going to run it on the 1/4 mile this thur. any ideas on execpted hp and 1/4 mile times, i was thinking like 210 rwhp and low 14's 1/4mile. I have sr20det redtop, wallbro 255 fuel pump, 3" downpipe, turbo xs bov, greddy hot pipe, greddy profec b boost controller running 11 psi on stock side mount intercooler and 3" cat back exhaust! any other kinds of test i could have done and what the test will read out? like what would be good and what would be bad ( i am a complete noob at this, i am learning as i go)? thx in advance!

um..yea go the track and the dyno..those will be very heplful i think.

check compression and shaft play in the turbo... look for dents in the oil pan....um....thas all i can think of

and get an FMIC!!!!!!!
u need one for 11psi...well i think so

umm you want the compression to be consistant across all four cylinders. within 10psi of each other (example 180, 182, 183, 188 is fine) can be loweerr but consistency is the key.

I agree with as long as all four cylinders are within 10psi your in great shape. I'm runnin an SR that I just did the swap like 4mths ago, on my 91 240 fstbck. The things that I had to play with the most was cam position sensor(make sure you have this right if not there could be spark knock), a little wiring that had corroded going to my alternator, and just be ready for stupid stuff around the motor to start going out. Nobody is perfect. My brake and clutch mstr cylrs both started leaking. I'd say we got about the same setup. 3in turboback, k&n filter, blitz ssbc, blitz bov, walbro 255, 17x7.5 wheels w/215/40 nitto 450's, and eibach lowering springs. The nearest track to me is Ohio Valley speedway, its like 45 min away and only an 1/8. At 10psi I was runnin 9.2 9.3s consistantly. I tried to turn the boost up to 15 for 1 run and it spiked at 13 and went to 10 (damn smic) but I ran a 9.12. 60ft times weren't that great for me and I have gotten plenty of practice launching, trust me. I suggest you work on your 60ft alot before you go, especially if you havent really owned a quick car before. The art of fanning the gas pedal in 1st does help keep it from boggin down a little when you bang 2nd. Good Luck
