i won a silvia front end on ebay and when i emailed them to get the exact shipping they wrote back saying i pay the truck driver the shipping when it arrives. i emailed them before i bid about shipping and they said it would be around $150 and i gave them my zip code and info then, thats the only reason i bid on it also. does this sound strange to you guys. the feedback on the seller is reliable, but i just dont want the shipping company saying i owe them $300 when it arives or something. the seller is jdmautohouse and they have no negatvie feeback. he had a link to rbmotoring.com in his emails. what should i do, hes supposed to get me the trucking companies # so i can call them and find out how much shipping is gonna be, shouldnt he do that?

Freight collect to a residential address = $50 extra, minimum.
Freight collect to an individual also would mean you may not get the business discount, usually 50-60% off their standard rate.

i agree, those clowns shouldn't of give you a price quote if they plan on making you pay some other person....

im having it shipped to my friends hardware store, hes the manager. anyway im waiting to see how much shipping really is cause if he said around $150, it better be around $150 nothing more in my opinion. im sure they are a great company, but why would i have to pay shipping company? ive never heard of this before plus i probaly wont be around to pay the guy in person and i dont wanna leave money at the hardware store.

Jeff is a really nice person to deal with. Just let him know your concern.
I bought my silvia conversion from him, but i picked it up. I also got an LSD installed through them.
Just let him know your situation. If there are any problems, let him know, I'm sure he'll work things out.

update on it
so i ended up just sending them $148 for the shipping when i sent my originla payment. this morning the hardware store calls to let me know it came in but they need $119.83 for shipping.WTF? so i get there talk to the truck driver and he tells me unless i write him out a check or cash, he's leaving w/ my front end. i told him the shipping was paid for, but he said " sorry, you're wrong buddy". paid the dick put my front end together, them email Jeff. he wrote back just saying "i paid shipping when they picked it up from me, thanks" thats it. i want my $148 back from rbmotoring. this is bullshit. if i dont see my money soon, im talking to a lawyer and pressing charges of fraud. i have all my emails save, reciepts for money orders and the copy of the check for the shipping company. i hope
[email protected] rbmotoring takes care of this.
