i put my turbo on my ka24e about 3 weeks ago, and after weeks of searchign and trying things as i go im stumped on what to do. im not sure what i have wrong but when i i have maf disconnected it idles perfect soon as its plugged in idle is horrible. i have bov set up off fpr-intake manifold and wastegate to the compressor. i have egr open currently but putting the delete plate on this weekend. what im wondering is what would i need to get this running right? would i need a safc and should i just delete all the unneeded vacuum lines(emmisons things since i dont need to pass smog) and would i have to run a vacuum pump since most of the things now are on pressure because of the turbo? ive searched the internet forever it seems and half the stuff i read contradicts the next site. i can post pics tomorrow when i have light

When you say the egr is open, do you mean that the port where the egr valve goes is completely open? If yes, well then there you go. Otherwise check for all other vacuum leaks.

well turbo down pipe has no port for the egr pipe that wraps tp the old one so that pipe has just sat open till i got the delete plate a couple of days ago.

ok egr is blocked off and lines plugged. now idles good, but im not sure if i have bov and waste gate set up right? i have bov into the intake just after the throttle body then teed into the fuel pressure regulator

No egr = giant vac leak. that's why it runs like shit (for future reference).

And for the wastegate you should vent the top port and just use the side port.

Also you'll want to recirculate that bov.

What management are you running? Don't say SAFC2....

no current management, i hear mixed things about safc so ive been looking around and dont know what to get. got any opinion on what i should get? how should i recirculate the bov?

You run it back to the intake after the maf.

Buy nistune or get a rom tune at least.

SAFC has no timing control and will blow up your ka-t in short order.

alright, is waste gate plumbed right? or should it go to the back of the intake too? from compressor-side of waste gate-intake?

cheapest/best option i would suggest a tune from rs enthalpy. and also replace your maf sensor

The wg just needs boost reference from the hot side of the turbo.

What's that T to? Boost gauge?

yeah, it was just to test to see what my boost readings were though probably completely wrong to do..
