I have searched and cant come to a good choice.

I plan on going with either KYB Gr-2 or AGX shocks(probably the AGX)

What I cant decide on is which spring to go with.

I know the eibach are very popular.

Both the prokit and sport line offer progressive rates, which make everyday driving more compfortable, but at the track/auto-x when you dig in, they get stiff.

My understanding of it is, when you go to take a corner you get more body roll because its not as stiff till the spring compresses more. Making turn in not as stiff and sharp?

The other springs i was looking at were tein stech. they are not as stiff(180/160 f/r), but they will be stiffer at all compression points. making less bod roll and sharper turn in?

Any recommendations, ideas?

You bring up some good points about the Eibach's. They are progressive, which makes daily driving more comfortable.

On the track? Well, I don't have any firsthand knowledge, yet (putting the springs on this weekend). But, I'm sure the difference in turn in response will be minimal compared to other brands. I think that the difference will be negligible if you were to add some sway bars. And, if the difference in response makes that much of a difference for you, then you should be at a point in your racing "career" (whether professional, amerature, or just weekend warrior), that you would be investing in some sway bars at both ends.

If it gets to a point where you can feel that much of a difference, then you may be a candidate for coilovers, which generally have a much higher spring rate.

But, if you are just a weekend warrior, and this is more of your daily drive, then I don't think there really will be much of a difference in the Eibach, Tein, or RS*R springs.

Well, I already have sways, they come with the HICAS package.

As far as what I am doing with them, they are on my daily driver with plans for a couple track days this summer and auto-x as much as i can. I dont want to move to coils because I have 4 sets of wheels, 3 of which would not clear coilovers.

Any idea on the spring rates of RSR spring?

www.rs-r.com
RS-R Downs are 3.3/3
race are 5/4

I have the Sus Downs, they're pretty good for the street, but i do not believe they are progressive.

As for coils...well...JIC FLT-A2's are better than stock in ride quality IHMO

vote for the RSR hard/race springs... though I still stand by my belief that they are progressive.

well before I got them everyone claimed they are linear... when I got them they definitley looked progressive to me. I called and RSR told me they are definitley progressive. However, the word on fresh alloy is that the fronts are progressive, while the rears are linear, though they look progressive because the springs get thinner as they wind towards the top... but I don't see how that can be, so I still stand by my belief that they're progressive all around.

But that's not the point. I think they ride great, and definitley get the AGX, not GR2s.

maybe I missed it, but no one has said anything about the GR-2s...

DO NOT get them if you plan to lower the car, the GR-2s are basically oem replacement.

Has anyone tried the new Espelir springs? I just bought the Espelir Active Super Down springs for my car. I havn't had them installed yet, I was just wondering if anyone has tried them yet and what they think of them. Anyways, I'll post again when I get them in and let everyone know how they work.

Yeah, I searched and found that info. That is why I went with the AGXs.
