I've said it before and I'll say it again. &nbsp;Friend of mine that's been working on cars for 30 years has said it before and will say it again.

Run your car out on the highway at 3000 rpm for a while. &nbsp;Anything else means you have a problem with your vehicle. &nbsp;Chemicals are nothing but gimmicks to get people to waste hard-earned cash. &nbsp;Ask any good mechanic. &nbsp;It follows the old adage,&quot;If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.&quot;

i dunno, using fuel system cleaners or simply a tiny bit o' diesel fuel in the past has done wonders for making the car feel a little more responsive when you put the pedal down

But in the long run, it will do more harm then good.

are you talking about fuel injector/carb cleaners, octane boosters, etc. ?

indeed i am, but also somewhat interested in oil additives

most of the Octane boost is what you can buy at a gas station......92 Octane.....

I'll use fuel additives every three or four months: only because in Chicago, there have been numerous tales about water in fuel at your local stations, so... that's my reason. I also used CD2 oil additive once to quiet my valves. It worked.
