I have Apexi N1 Pro with 8k front and 6k rears and i would agree they are a bit stiff. For comparison the discontinued Apexi WS coilovers were 5k front and 3.5k rears which felt perfect for DD to me when i still had them back in the day.

I have s13 Apexi N1 dampers ExV but I need a whole new front driver side shock, sprint, mount and everything else. I hit a guardrail and broke it. I know Stance has replacement parts because he ordered new front shocks from them. But I'm not sure about Apexi.

Megans arent bad for daily driving, BUT if you plan on doing some drifting like me, this is what happens....

Didnt even hit the curb that hard, was only going around 20mph. Didnt even hit head on either. I would go with Fortune Autos, or if you like a stiff ride like me, go PBMs

I have the Apexi EXV's and I think they feel really good vs the drop springs and beat up Tein coilovers I had before.
I don't DD my car, but I've driven it at several events with no issues yet.
I'm not one to ride slammed, so as far as how low they can go I haven't really tested myself.
I like having some suspension travel, so they've been perfect for me.
And getting them for around $900 shipped brand new was a big plus.

keep in mind the low end apex coils are made in the same factory as megan and the higher end ones are made in house my them like the S1's and what not.
just get FA's for that price.

^Where did you get that information? Cuz I'd like to say that's bullshit.
Apexi has been around for years and actually R&D there products.
Yea there made in Taiwan or whatever, but they still have years of R&D behind them.

My bad, I thought you were implying that since there made in the same factory, that they have the same specs.
Pulled this off another forum.
"I'd hate to burst peoples bubble, but the entire Apex'i/Megan/BC coilover discussion has already been done and DESTROYED in the nissan S-chassis scene. A few distributors and engineers on a 240 specific site spoke to Apex'i and the other manufacturers, performed shock dyno tests and took them apart.
What was found out was that while BC makes the bodies for pretty much all of them with light differences in colors, there are MAJOR differences inside the coilovers. BC/Megans were pretty much exactly the same in reference to the internal valving, the Apex'i coils had a different oil/valving setup which made them MUCH more responsive.
There is a night and day difference in the dampening adjustment between the megans and Apex'i coils on the S-chassis...
They are NOT the same quality where it matters, even though they look the same."

The majority of lower end apexi coils along with megan and stance are made by BC. BCs own branded BR coils are better then most of the brands they make. They ride nice on the street and perform well on the track plus you are not paying for a name. The FA 500s with swifts are good as well along with PBM Pros(comps are kinda harsh on the street).
