Just picked up a 93 s13 hatch with a boosted Ka, minimal and I mean minimal rust. Car runs but needs work. Currently idling at 2.1k rpms, just reconnected the boost line idk what's wrong.

This is going to be a daily project car and I'm just wondering where to start first. Such as engine, suspension, body, etc. I'm indecisive and need help on where to start building the car so that I can daily it without problems.

I'd start by searching.

NICO and 240SXForums are where most noobs start.

I would recheck that "minimal rust" before I put a dime into a build

Frame rails and strut towers are untouched of rust, only rust is passenger quarter easy replacement and common hatch rust from gay spoiler. Completely removed all trunk carpeting today and I was surprised to see not a spot of rust.

Fix body / rust / paint etc > brakes > wheels/tires > suspension > engine > interior.

That'll keep you busy for the next few years, now GTFO.

If you wanted a reliable daily you should've bought a Toyota Corolla... We aren't going to tell you how to build YOUR car. Start researching on what you need to fix.

reliability is kind of a long shot if its a boosted ka that you know nothing about what the previous owner really did.(assuming). IF its running ok and can get you by, i would start with bushings and suspension. I would probably find a single cam for cheap to put in there while i rebuild the ka properly. EVERYONE is different.

I never realized how annoying people are on here till now. All I asked for were a couple opinions from random people. Sorry a simple question broke your fucking hearts.

You have to realize that we get these threads every day, when all the person had to do was search...cause if you think you're the first person to ask a certain question about a 240SX online, you're wrong.

People have to realize is tax time. More and more people wants to get in the nissan scene. Personal opinion this is not the way to welcome people and support new memebers but agree that they need to to research instead of jumpimg straight to ask questions that have been answered for the past 20 years. Please dont look stupid and research on your own and make sure you coveted badics before posting

Sell the 240 and buy a newer car that doesn't need work.

In a nutshell Welcome to Zilvia!!!!! :D Well you said the engine is boosted so that should be a check off the list, next thing get Coils cause the damn thing will feel like a boat on the high seas!!! Then you work on brakes, body, wheels, etc, etc.... Or the other way around, get some brakes cause you want some stopping power when a car is boosted..

Start by making your engine run proper. Do you have a boost gauge? wideband? What tune if any? What injectors? Is your iacv hooked up.? Have you done a boost leak test? Have you checked the compression?

Same haha.

And as for this post... Are you seriously asking an entire forum community on how you should work on your car?
