Okay guys, first of all, I'm kinda dumb when it comes to Nissan i haven't been messing with them for very long, always been a Honda guy, anyways.. what I'm getting at is please don't bash me to death if i ask a stupid question.

i have a 1993 Silvia club k with the sr20 the car always ran great with the exception of occasionally leaning out a bit under high boost setting. on low setting it had no traction in second gear every single pull. now it has started running ridiculously lean no matter what, it wont idle, cruise or run worth a crap at wot. it barely spins 1st on high boost. cruising the interstate it will randomly start sounding like it is on three cylinders and start popping and wanting to die. it was alot worse until i fixed an exhaust leak but it still isn't perfect by far. I've cleaned the maf twice with no results other than running worse for a short time. i smell raw fuel on occasion but i have searched for hours for fuel leaks and cant find a drip anywhere. i have no idea what to do. any help will be appreciated. thank you

Need mod list, also what is your boost level?

When was the last time the spark plugs and fuel pump were replaced? Also if your valve cover is leaking oil it will leak into the spark plug well and it will make it miss fire or run on 3 cylinders.

I would have the ecu looked at by a tuner to see if everything is running correctly. could be that previous owner didnt pay up for tune and gave up trying to make it run. thats just an assumption.

i believe the tune may need looked over and i plan to have it retuned but it was running 10 times better than what it is running now
and i think i should get the current problem fixed so it is running like it always has before having it re tuned

also may need to add that my electronic boost contoller is messed up somehow at full boost its saying like number from 102 to 109 and it used to read the correct psi im not sure if that is messed up or on a different setting of some sort. that thing is like rocket science to me and i cannot figure out how to work it
is it possible i could have messed the car up from that? ive had electronic boost controllers before but never seen them act like this and it is obviously not running 100+ psi

also should i get another ecu for the new tune? is enthalpy garbage? i have seen stuff about nistune that seemed to be much better. is their a better ecu/tuning software ?

I agree, if the car was running 100% better a short time ago I would begin looking at general maintenance items especially because it seems you lean on in regularly.

Next the boost controller is definitely suspect. Have there been any changes in the charging/electrical system recently like a battery or something? If settings have been changed the car will run very differently.

As far as the ECU, if you believe the tune was off originally then it will definitely be a good idea to have it retuned after you get that main issue under control.

If you prefer to have full control over the ECU we do carry an Adaptronic Plug-In application for your Blacktop (http://www.turbosource.com/Adaptronic-Select-Nissan-Silvia-240SX-p/ts4-20-s1300.htm). What's nice is that you can ditch the stock MAF and use VE tuning. It's MUCH easier tuning method, and you don't have to worry about it falling out of calibration like the stock flash types..
