^thats usually why they break

you can definitely fill it with a type of cement/resin and then re tap it. or even drill it out wider then put a threaded insert in it and call it a day

can you locate shitty ganadors w/ blue glass or blue glass lenses (the backing plate and stuff) for me? honestly, last resort is even clear glass.

i need the plastic backing plate though, i lost mine during a move.
