So i'm coming home from work today and am about to miss a right hand turn 'cause some retard gunned it beside me so i couldn't get over. I get real stupid and go for the turn from the center lane at around 50mph. I thought right after i turned in that i made a HUGE mistake and was gonna understeer into the wall; but the friggin thing held. I swear to god that i was never so impressed with the handling in ANY car until today!
Yeah! I'm still here, and that SR is definately going in!

u usually learn about the car's handling prowess by mistake... hehe like that

yeah, i was amazed that it held. My buddy in a pick-up was behind me and when he caught up his chin was on the floor!
everyday on my way home from school i get to take a ride on two off-ramps..... one of them getting onto a highway..... i take that one at about 55.... then theres an off-ramp that goes up-hill and leans in.... i take that one at 50.... on this one im gassing enough to keep it steady at 50 the whole time and theres a dip in the curve...... the rear always jumps a little its fun

on/off ramps are fun...just be careful of tarmac changes.
One time I was entering a cement onramp from an asphault road. I made the turn-in and gunned it like I always do...needless to say, I got a good amount of unexpected oversteer when I hit that slick concrete. It was fun, though.:)
On on-ramps I'm more familiar with, I'm usually doing 10 over (80) by the time at the end of it. Fun, fun! Or doing 10 over as I enter a circle off-ramp, brake to turn in, and hold it as the tires sing barely audibly all the way around....even more fun! Sometimes I wonder if you can have too much fun with a car that handles like ours do. Now I just need some power to match...CA18DET in March :crosses fingers:

Why did you decide to go with the CA18DET ?

yes, i too have learned by mistakes the wonders of 240 handling... its great. you gotta be careful tho... i used to drive a celica (those with no handling whatsoever) the reason i dont have that anymore... totaled... right into a tree (oversteer). i go by that tree from time to time and it never jumps out in front of a 240. hah.

hmm... I always learn the limits of my car on a closed course  Spinning into open space just feels safer, to me.
Personal favorite: some jackass tailgaiting as I take a freeway off ramp. Lets see how fast you can tailgate... three times I've seen people go until they lost grip and nearly wrecked... I didn't hold a gun to their head, they just thought I was too slow

I learned how well my car could handle when I was trying to drift. I took a corner that looped back around at about 30 miles per hour (I think, I didn't actually check the speedo during the turn, but I was close to that entering, and I accellerated to try to break the rear loose.) The car held, I couldnt' believe it. So that day I learned that I don't have to know how to drift to drive fast. I'm sticking to grip driving for a while.
I totaly agree; like i said in the post it was a mistake.

Sounds like what I did yesterday. I fished 4 times before I got it under control again, but any other car I ever drove would have gone into the wall for freakin sure.

Just tonight I'm coming home from work and theres a late model BMW...I think the 328i in front of me, and he's not really slowing up as he's entering the off ramp. So I'm lke OK, this guys gonna fly around this turn. Lets see if this thing really is the ultimate driving machine......lol. Well we both enter the turn, I'm behind.....and I'm actually gaining on him, like right on his ass. I was like COME ON, the ultimate driving machine??? Yea right, I shoulda passed him but there wasn't enough room.
