I have a set of S14 Motons that need a rebuild. I really don't want to pay Moton $600 to rebuild my coilovers. Any advices or post you know of that explain how to rebuild them?

I might also be thinking of selling them. I'm on the fence. :squintd:

Pics for reference.

Considering these are like 10k new on 240sxmotoring.comvi would gladly spend the 600 to rebuild

Ditto. 600's a drop in the bucket. Even if that was PER shock.

have you tried going to a race prep shop in your area? you can probably find some body than can rebuild them for less. i know $600 is cheap compared to how much the suspension costs, but that is still $600. that can be hard to come by now a days. if these are for a race car, i would have them rebuilt, but probably not if it`s for a street car. sell them and buy a less expensive kit.

something like that.. I wouldn't chance it on a back yard rebuild. like all posters above.. would you change the head gasket to a lambo in your own garage? same idea.

Thanks guys. I think since I sold the car I might as well get rid of these. I don't know when I'll get another s14 in the near future. Ill post them up in the current condition. I feel as if I spent the money and rebuild them, no one will buy these for 2600-3000. Everyone would want them but no one would really have that kinda cash to blow on coilovers.
