Well, I finally took some pics of the brackets I made to fit the Recaros. The initial thread is in the Archives and FAQ's forum. For some reason, I can't edit or reply to that post, so I'll put it here.

I just wanted them to sit as low as possible. Note headroom...

The outside one is the easy one. You just need to weld the angle on. I put in the washers to adjust the side to side tilt a little.

The hard one is the inboard rail. It is turned 90 degrees and mounted up against the tunnel.

Before I get flamed about how my Willans Harnesses bolt in....
They go through holes I cut in the rear seats...

...and bolt thru my homemade structural member. I call them Crab Brackets. Felt like it stiffened things up a bit back there too. I'll probly weld a bar in-between them later on to make them extra Heavy Duty.

Nice work. I made rails for my SRD too, but I was limited to a CRAPPY hobby welder, and I'll probably just go with Bride rails next.

There are two cross pieces welded to the sliders, which bolt to the seat (not shown).

It's pretty damn low, I'm 6'3" and have about 1.5" of headroom sitting upright.

kooka - do those brackets flex at all? Is it noticeable? Still deciding whether to fab or buy them rails.. finding it difficult to source some decently priced ones that are low.

No, there's no flex in the part you see, the front is fully supported underneath by the chassis, and the rear doesn't have any flex.

The cross pieces could stand to be more rigid, however.
