It all depends on what you want to do. If you just want to swap stock for stock depending on it you can do it yourself you are looking at 3000-3500 and if you cant do it yourself you are looking at close to 5000.

READ HIS POST....if you read carefully he is not asking for the sake of his car. Instead he wants to know how much we fork over for our cars.
geez...this forum is horrid when it comes to replying to a thread made by someone from a foreign country.
nautic - It all depends on what motor and chassis its going into and how the owner goes about doing the swap. But the most I've heard of was $8000 :tweak:

I spent about $6000 not including labor (cause I got it's for freeee) for a basically stock 240sx with an SR. I had a few problems with getting parts b/c I got the engine missing parts which jacked the price about a grand...
dunno

Someone calculated it...it was either here on 240sxforums.com, I think they came out with $3910 with FMIC, BOV, turbo timer, and all that good stuff, assuming you get cut good prices.

what? haha
maybe if you do all the installation yourself including wiring, resurface the stock SR flywheel instead of upgrade, use the stock exhaust, and factory intake, AND you run into no problems whatsoever. Maybe those are based on old pricing before the swap got popular...

okay thanx for the help. Skyline's aren't worth it. I chop them all the time. Anyway I was mainly looking for the labor side of things. I've done one here for 2.5k flush(stock ic, radiator, dump pipe, turbo ect), just wondering what things where like over there. cheers

Well S13 SR into S13 chassis...ive seen a stock swap go as cheap as $3k-3.5k. Well if you think thats cheap. Most shop will charge now on average of $1.5k so it depends on how much ur motorset/clip is.

getting a good motor and all good parts and having it all done from the day i went in to talk to the mechanic in 2 weeks has costed me $6,000 but i have a really low mile engine and everything i ordered i recieve from heavy throttle and got within 3-4 days if you use ebay and other websites for parts and be patien you could spend like 4,500$.
