Well I recently installed a Aem ems series 2 standalone and my tach has quit working:rant2:
It worked perfectly with the stock ecu(besides being off some). It quit working after I installed the trigger disc that comes with the Aem. At first I thought I broke something in my CAS when I switched the trigger disc's but the rpm's show up in AEMtuner so I wouldn't think it could be that.
I checked if I was getting continuity and volts from the 12v, signal wire and ground going to the plugs in the back of the dash, along with the 3 screws in the back that connects them to the gauge. all seems good there.
Would not having my AEM grounded to my chassis cause this?
Could my tach have finally shit out?
If it is needed it's a '91 with a series 2 rb.
Thanks for the help! Much appreciated!
