Now just got to put it in. Its stolen from a 300zx, and it seems to be in great shape. I'm gonna do new fluids and go go go.

looks to be in good shape, decent find

just to make sure, u know u need to swap ur axles or output shafts to use that right?

hmm...if he got it for a reasonable price, and the unit seems to be in decent shape, why not, my diff i could tell it had decent miles on it, but still works great, the vlsd unit can wear out, but thats usually with a life of hard abuse and considerable miles...

If you got it for cheap good deal, but he will need new shafts, Id rather have j30 (over 300) cuz its a luxury car, heh

yeah, i got it fairly cheap. I wasn't going to go vLSD, either, until I found this deal. I was afraid I'd buy one just in time for it to die. But, it looks in good shape.

Yes, I'm waiting on new half-shafts (axle's). Found them for a real good deal, too.

Remember, though, this is the same final drive ratio. A j30 diff has a 3.92 final drive ratio, so a little more sluggish.

yeah, z32 is a good call, it has its small advantages over the j30 diff...

and ive seen quite a bit of busted j30's driven by kids...so u never know with cars...

Just hope it's not a tt diff. And once again.. steal the axles from that z32, or swap output shafts.

z32 axles will not fit they are to long . he needs a pair of pre 95 J30 axles then he can bolt that bad boy in.

Yes, I'm getting a pair of 1993 Infiniti J30 half-shafts (axles). For the s14, that is all that needs to go in to work.

PS: you need to get the bolts from the J30 or the 300zx to bolt the diff up since the axles bolts from the 240 are too short.

its not that the bolts are too short, its that the diameter of the bolt itself is too small, just smaller bolt size in general

oh, really? so the diameter of the bolt is off, too?

Thats really good to know. The diff I have came with a handful of bolts, but I didn't know if they were the correct ones or not. Now that I know that they are the correct diameter, I can safely assume that they are also the correct length. I was worried they might be left over 240 bolts.

That makes life a little easier to find the rest of the bolts I need since I have something to match them up with.

yeah...just to make sure u read me clearly
5 bolt flanges - bigger diameter bolts
6 bolt flanges - smaller diameter bolts

it just makes sense
