I was wondering which would win if all cars are stock. '95 Integra (auto...blah), 90's Mx-6 (V-6 manual) or '91 240sx.

Depends on the Integra...is it an LS, GSR, ITR? The MX-6 will hang, but its no rocket. If the Teg is a GSR or ITR, it will take them both. If its an LS, it should be pretty close.

since its an AUTO, i doubt its a Type-R or a GS-R, which means its an LS.

The Integra is most likely LS but it has a crappy driver.
If i was to say race what is the highest , best , RPM I can go up to on a stock 240?
you didn't say whether the 240 is auto or manual...

"Mazda sent over two new engines for 1993: yet another 2.0-liter four, this time with double overhead cams, rated at 118 hp, and a new 2.5-liter DOHC V6, good for 164 hp."

The 240 is a manual & its the V-6 MX-6

well in that case, i'd say the race would be between the MX and the 240.

As long as the Integra isn't a GS-R or ITR, my money would be on the 240.

Vote for 240. Those Mx-6's were just slow.. even w/ the 6 and a 5-speed.

ok 240 it is, even tho the MX is lighter and makes marginally more hp and torque.

whats the torque rating on the mx-6? i'm for the 240

I'm thinking it'll be up the drivers between the 240 and the MX-6. The 'Teg LS will be back a few cars.

Oh and since you're stock, don't bother waiting 'til redline to shift. You'll probably feel the power start to drop off around 5800 rpm or so. When you do, hold it out to about 6K, maybe 6200 and shift. Don't go all the way to 6900 (S13) or 6500 (S14) (Which is it?) b/c the stock 240 KA simply doesn't make that much power up there.

hehe i have an auto 240 and i raced a v-6 5 speed mx-6 the gearing is totally gay in that car i beat him in my auto... mod level was the same intake n exhaust.

our domestic mx-6 is FWD as well, right? so you also have to factor in drivetrain loss and weight shifting problems for him, giving the 240 an advantage

we have more drive train loss in our cars.

I think it depends on what exactly your doing. the mx6 will seriously pull on a stock 240 in a high speed contest. in fact, I've heard of a CivicSI maxing it's gears and the mx6 still going...that would be between 135-140.
If you're talking about 1/4 mile....unless the guy really sucks, I'd put money on the mx6. as long as he has good tires, and good launch, no problem.
I hate to go against our beloved 240's, but we all know they suck in stock form....for dragging.

get a nos kit, then u'll win. i'm seriously thinking about this after i have exhaust, headers, intake done since i don't need to go fast all the time like when i'm commuting to school. plus it's cheap, n by the time my ka is blown i'll have money for an sr swap. haven't looked into nitrous oxide nearly enough to make a final decision though.

n2o's only good point is how dmaned cheap it is. for what you pay for a decent catback exhaust you can have 75-125hp gain, and all the requisite torque, as well. whats the most you can run on a stock s13, 75-100? cant you get 125 on the s14 KA? i have a dislike for n2o setups, but if i really needed to win and couldnt afford much else, i would definately do it

well, first other mods would come first then i'd get it. nothin' really big, maybe a 50 shot whenever i decide to put it into use. still got a healthy ka (20k miles).

I think your full of it! My mom has a 94 MX-6 auto V-6, I have a 91 240 fastback with exhaust, intake + hotwires.
We raced to 100km/h, I had her (my sister was driving) by a quarter of a car length.
If it was a standard I would have been done, if I was an auto, I'd be up sh*t creek without a paddel.
MX-6 V6 is faster then us!

if its a '91 240, it should be also 160lbs of torque...... it was the first year it became a DOHC and 155hp/160lbs

But the mx-6 has 165hp, 165 torque. I've driven both, the mx-6 v6 has more punch, if it was in a 5spd, it would surely handle a stock 240, as for the integra, I've lost to a type r royally, and toasted a non vtec, never faced a gsr.

What is the best intake? price? cold air attachment worth it ? How about exhaust.....good but not too expensive. I am just starting out and I want to start somewhere (install myself).

u can believe me or not... my auto 97 240sx beat my friends 97 integra RS manual... like 3 times.. when they both were stock. after i got my catback and injen with cai, plugs and wires... i ran with a gsr and pulled on him when we were already moving at 40 and hit it...

I Seen that you mentioned the mx-6.
Quick question.
Which one is better a stock a 96 Probe GT or a stock 95 MX-6?
(I know they have the same engine)
