What's going on everybody.. I just bought an S13 240sx with an SR20DET swap and I'm having some problems.

The car will occasionally have a rough idle, and will bog down and almost stall after being revved while in neutral. Also, when clutching in from a roll, the RPMs will dip enough to stall out completely.

The car has a Greddy BOV which is vented to atmosphere(previous owner did it), not recirc. Could this cause the problem? I figure that the ECU(totally stock/untuned sr20 ecu) would dump fuel in order to compensate for the extra air that it is expected to take in, while its just being vented out.

Make sense to anybody else? If not, any idea on what it could be? Thinking that I change to a recirculating BOV and hope that fixes everything.

That's exactly why vented bov is not good for maf car.

You should be able to tighten the spring and get it to require more vac to open. Or just buy the recirc kit for it (presumably RS?).

Go recirc it. That should fix the prob. It happen to me. I did recirc it. Done! No more bogging down and almost stalling

I have the same problem with my tial bov (atmospheric). make sure you got a direct line running to your intake mani, not any T'd off valve. if that doesnt work, disassemble the bov, check the tial website for the correct spring pressure and swap it in. that should do it

Delete the BOV all together.

the only BOV you can really vent without it wanting to die everytime is the HKS SSQV. standard piston type BOV's will cause your SR to bog like crazy.

you have a MAF based motor, hence why it does this.
