Where'd you mount your Apex'i RSM?

Hey everyone,

I'm getting a pretty good deal on an Apex RSM(rev/speed meter). I was thinking I'd mount it above the central vents in my S13, but I'm not sure yet. Can I get some pictures of where you guys mounting your RSMs? I need to get some ideas.

3M double sided tape works well.

Well I was thinking along the lines of placing it where the dash used to be, or maybe where the radio or heat and a/c or gauge cluster or ac vents used to be, Aww Skrew it, it weighs too much any ways.

The tach is not the worst one, the fuel gauge is, lol , Its light as crap though <2250

i used the apexi holder that you can buy and put it on the dash like so....

in place of the ash tray, for a s14 anyway. Then hook up a warning light in my gauge pod. It'll fit there you have to shave a little on one side to make it fit perfectly...

s14xman, that's exactly where I was thinking of mounting it, but on a S13 dash instead. Does the RSM pivot on the mount or does it it need to just be mounted so that it's angled towards you?

Your's looks great, I'm confident about my decision now.

i wouls just put it infornt of the speedo cause its not tall enough to block the speeds that really matter anyway :D also it has a spedo function that(i have heard) is more accurate than the stock speedo

i m makeing a bracket for my s13 to come out of the driverside heat vent up by the window so it s closer to heads up style

I don't drive this car places where it can get broken into, such as movie theaters, mall, house parties, etc., it is always garaged. I used to put a hat over it when i first got it because i was really paranoid.

My car has an alarm and a quick release, and pretty much nothing inside to steal. Besides, who wants to live in fear?

S15 front + apexi gauges and SAFC + = fear everywhere i go... thats me tho hehe

thats y u gotta get some dark tint lol then no one will see it :D and get an alarm with the little pager thing :D i saw in a options mag a pic of a cell phone with an alarm, dont no if it was for size referance or if it like pages ur cell when ur alarm is triggerd?!?!?! that would be tight if it did though cause then it could reach farther away from teh car!! i deff want to invest in a pager for my alarm!!!!

Option this month had a thing where it does more than set an alarm off on the phone. It tells the status of doors, ignition, etc, has a GPS moving map display for tracking the car, and even has a video camera so you can see who's jacking your car!

Oh, BTW, I noticed a the CF panel (around the radio) in one of the pics. Did you get it somewhere, or just stick CF stuff on it? It looks pretty cool, I was actually thinking of doing the same thing with some fake CF stuff I've got.

instead of a alarm, just set up a set of pullies and ropes and arm it with a shot gun. So when someone tries to open your car you blow their brains out

I'd put it on the dash. I want to mount mine there but I think the s-afc2, avc-r and the rsm would be a tad redundant so I think I'll just mount it right in front of the speedo.
