I am selling a rare set of Silk Road / Section Spec-RM/A8 coilovers.
Anyone who knows their JDM'ness well will know what these are, and know what they're capable of. Very well respected coilovers that dont come up for sale very often.

Key Features:
- 8 level damping adjustment
- High pressure charged monotube shock design
- Nitrided piston rod for superior hardness, corrosion and heat resistant
- Pillowball top mounts

Inverted front shocks for strength/rigidity, pillowballs up front and aluminium top mounts on rear, all the usual excellence one would come to expect from a company such as this.

$700 obo

hey sorry to thread jack (if nothing else it's a free bump) but do you know what the factory recommended pre-load is on these guys? I have a set and they seem incredibly stiff...

glws!

Recommended pre-load? You mean dampening? Turn the damn knob all the way soft, drive it and see if you like it. If you think its too soft, add a couple clicks, drive and see again. Rinse and repeat until you can deal with it.

Preload is how much the spring is "compressed" so to speak (that's what the two collars below the spring are used for adjusting)
I'm not sure about silk roads, but the fortunes I have (and I know most other coilovers) the recommended preload is 1/4" up front and 1/8" in the rear. Snug up the collars to the spring, then tighten until they sit 1/4" higher up front, and 1/8" in the rear.

Any idea about the spring rates?

yah I know I already did my dampening and set my preload to 0 all around, I'm not that much of a noob :P I was just wondering what silk road recommends for preload I know some companies say like 5mm or whatever.
