I have a red one but I want to paint it something else. I'm thinking either white or black.
I prefer black but I've heard that its harder to keep clean and that dents and imperfections show up a lot easier in the paint/body. Is this true?

Your car, your decision.

I think the easiest color to live with is something like gunmetal grey, had 3 cars that had this color. They were not mint though.
But seriously, paint YOUR car the color YOU want ... If it is not done correctly (ie if anything is still on the body, when you paint it, and i mean it ) it will look shite anyway, so you may as well keep your current color. Unless you are a pro painter (but if you were, you would not ask that question) .

does the gunmetal gray show a lot of dirt like black? Or does it hide it more like white? And ya, its my car, but I'm deciding between white or black and perhaps gunmetal. But the biggest thing is how dirty it looks. I have a silver car and that thing can go for months without being washed and look halfway decent.
And no, I don't want to keep my current color, its chipping and the clear coat is peeling everywhere. Not to mention its red. Perhaps my least favorite color other than pink or something.

Depends on what you call dirt. Most of the time it shows less than on black cars, and it does not turn yellowish like white when it gets old. But it is still there, and people will notice it.
This is how mine looked (changed wheels since)

That is OEM color btw. Wheels are 18" ADR "gunmetal grey" .

I have a white one, have had many white and black cars/trucks. Both my favorite car colors. Both tell on you if you didnt wash them, both tell on you if you missed a spot. Im bad about washing my trucks but keep the cars clean usually

Pearl white! Or pearl pink! Lol but it's really all up to you and what your preferences are.

if you paint it a dark color it will make you keep it clean all the time as if its a little dirty it will look bad , i'm in az so i would go with white , i have seen a few new cars that are white and its the best looking white i have ever seen . there is white and there is the new white.

And that is exactly the problem. "new white" does not stay new very long and becomes "Yellowish white" . Which really looks way worse than any color with dirt on it.

Why would you start a thread with 'what color is your 240' when you're strictly asking about either black or white? You know, there's other colors out there.
Your car, your decision.
