View Full Version : I have the best luck! (plus nice cops...)
I read someone's points post and felt the need to share(this happened 3 months ago):
I had 'er up to just below the speed limiter (190Km?) on this windey highway when i just decided to slow it WAY down. Well 10 sec later i pass a cop and he stops me and a celica gt. He tells me that he clocked my going 145 in a 90 decelerating quickly (ouch) and the ticket was $600 +5 points!(i already have 3)
He comes back and gives me a 105 in a 90 which is no points and $40 and says "Nice car, have a nice day"
I flew past a cop parket at the side of the road at about 15-20mph over, I was already beside him when I saw him so I didn't bother slowing down. He pulled out but he didn't turn his lights on so I just kept on going, merged into heavy traffic best I could and kept the speed up around 10-15over....never saw the cop again. Hehe, I guess he didn't feel like speeding after me.

I haven't been pulled over once (knock on wood). My friends and I are really good at keeping track of speed traps etc, and we all check stuff like www.paynofine.com

I got pulled over in my '91 coupe and, after a few other things that you should be able to fill in yourselves, the office asked, "So, why are you suspended?". I told her, "speeding."
"Well, how fast were you going?"
"108 in a 55"
"Were you actually going 108, or is that just what you were clocked you at?"
"Well, I don't know how fast I was going (lie - it was 111), but it was definately at least 108"
She then shines her flashlight in my car, waves it around a bit and stops on the shifter, asking "What's this? An automatic?"
I replied, almost embarassed, "Uh, yeah."
"How'd ya get it up so #### fast then?"
"Well, it is still a dual overhead cam engine."
Her exact response: "Ni-i-ice."
I drove that car for two years. Not once did it impress a single female (I guess I hang out with the wrong chicks) except her, a cop. She was in the process of letting me go with just the 'no u-turn' ticket she had pulled me over first in the first place when a second cop showed up, who insisted on giving me the 'driving on a suspended' ticket too. But, man was I close.
