Q45 front brake conversion?

Hey you guy just wondering if it's simple (as in everything bolts on) to install q45 calipers and rotor onto an s13 without any problem? P.s I know I got to cut off the dust plate.

everything bolts up..just minor trim on the dust plates...

No need to get q45 brackets. Just did this swap a few weeks ago and it's really simple and easy. After you do the first one you kinda go like "well wtf that was stupid easy" and do the second one super fast.

But yeah all you'll need is the calipers, rotors, trim the dust/heat shield (I didn't like that idea myself so I just took a little extra time to remove it completely and I think it's worth it.), bleed the brakes, and done.

If you want to remove the dust/heat shield you'll need a breaker bar and I believe it was 33mm or 30mm. Idk. Up to you.

Swap was very worth it, you'll like it.

What did u guys do about ebrake? I just did the rear and I got no more ebrake

Most don't worry about the backs because you lose the ebrake. I don't know of a single rear setup using the Q45 ebrake but you might be able to do a Z32 rear swap for rotors and run the Q caliper.

Exactly, I only did the front. My stock rear brakes with new pads do just fine. Not going to lose my ebrake to spend more money and lose my ebrake/parking brake.

if you want to upgrade the back, you can always use the 11" altima rotors with the z31 caliper carrier brackets and s13/s14 calipers... cheap, simple and you don't need a bigger master...

I have had Q45 calipers sitting in my garage for a while now, and (long story short) my brakes are finally going bad, so I just bought ceramic pads and rotors.

I first need to find a shop that can re-drill the rotors for 4-lug. Are there any considerations/complications with this that I should be aware of?
Also I have a friend with a sand blaster so I wanted to clean up the calipers and paint them red while its easy.
I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Also out of curiosity, I have some J30 rear calipers, and was wondering if they would fit the rear (if they are better at all anyway)? I got them when I was trying to get a J30 rear end and the junkyard was so lazy they just cut out the whole rear subframe and gave it to me for $100:wtf:

If you have the whole rear subframe then you can use the rear calipers by using the J30 rear 5lug.
That's what I'm using right now, you just take out the whole knuckle with e-brake assembly and cable. All you have to do is modify the cable or set new mounting points or it.

Contact 88Rotors. Bought brand new rotors drilled for 4 lug, cross drilled, and slotted for about $109 shipped.
