My friend can get me his mitsu sidemount for FREE out of his turbo eclipse... will it be enough for a stock sr20 if we make some piping for it?

It should be better than the SR's stock side mount intercooler. It's definately thicker than the SR's (i think the dsm side mounts are 3.5 inches thick), and my buddy has a turbo talon - said the stock sidemount is good for up to 18psi.

I just autocrossed with an owner of a 1g dsm. He was boosting 18psi and it was running great. I know there is a guy on Zilvia running a 2g dsm sidemount for his KA-T project. He's got a bunch of yellow tubing running all over his engine bay (just so you know what to look for) Do a search and you'll be able to find him.

If you can, get a 1g intercooler. They flow better than the 2Gs.

I ran 18psi daily with no problems on my stock intercooler before upgrading. (91 TSi AWD)
