i was told that the sycnro's in my transmission are gone could this be the problem?
also my clutch is on its way out.
could that also be a problem?
also when i drive the car for a long time the sound is less noticable but its still there

I just think it is your clutch fan actually turning on, its getting hoter now and they are starting to engage agian, Mine sounds like a UPS truck!!! Try to just remove it by takin off the four bolts connected to the water pump pully, pull the fan off bolt the four bolts back on so you pully doesn't fall off, and see if you still hear it.

okay im sure its not the clutch fan
it seems to be loudest in first gear.
when im at a stop light and the car is just idiling it does not howl.
even if i rev the engine .
when i drive and i push the clutch pedal down the noise goes away.
what could be the problem?
could it be the sound of my bad clutch?
syncros?
common guys help me out here

if your synchro's were gone or bad you would have a grind when shifting into a gear. I killed my 5th gear synchro racing a bike last week and it didnt make any weird noises. It just grinded every time I put it in 5th after that. Sounds like maybe a clutch/throwout bearing problem.

By the way.... I won :)
