1. Research the hell out of 240's
2. Research even more (what you can/cant d0)
3. Find a 240 worth buying
4. Buy 240
5. Drive 240 till KA kills over dead
(Meanwhile while driving KA 240, purchase SR motor and leave
In garage)
6. Build up SR motor out of car
7. After done with SR motor and KA motor hasent crapped out yet ( build up suspension on 240)
7. When KA kills over dead replace with SR
8. Install SR components (timers, guages, ect)
9. Drive in style
10. Save up for the rest of the goodies ( FMIC, SAFM, 2 way LSD, some minor aero parts)
11. Just have fun while owning a 240!!!!

how about
3) drive stock for a while
4) start with suspension.
5) drive stock KA as long as you need.
6) buy another KA, fully rebuild with arp studs, low comp pistons (ross), titan. springs, valves, bored, polished, blah blah. work on that one while you still drive old piece of shit.
7) read Corky Bell's book
8) gather your own turbo kit
9) pull old KA, replace with fully build new one.
10) slap on the turbo. enjoy the sound of the beast :hyper: also find a monkey to pull that switch :x:

get a new plan :)
Do suspention first.. then do your lil SR plan, and why do the KA have to die? KAs last a long time, I think the running reccord is 315k miles, thats alot.. maybe you should turbo a KA.

just out of curiousity...how old are ya?..
i'm guessing like 15-17...just sounds like the typical "whens" and "i'm gonnas" of someone of that age range...
plan all you want...it'll change...especially when you are putting an order to parts you have no control over dying and breaking...
try getting a car first...
then worry about the rest...sure researching is good...but do you really need to share that you will doing your homework...shouldn't it be implied...
it's like...would you like a cookie for your thoughtful planning??
that being said...when, and if, you do get a 240...good luck with it..at least you are motivated..

Word my nizzle.
I have a plan also.
It used to be numbered, but then I started HAVING to do things out of order because, well, feces takes place.
Doing things in ordered steps doesn't matter that much to me though, it's all about equifinality. :coold:
hey its always good to have plans.....even if ther gona change in time...makin a thread about what someone is gona do is a lil weird, but hey its all good..his excited...you all know yall been ther .....so lay off a lil and try to help him out

sounds like a good plan man... i like plans.. help everything goes well..
but add one more thing to your list.. preferably between 4 and 5... "research KA-T"
a lot of people are drawn into the SR crowd so easily but forgot about the KA.
even if you decide to go SR anyways... its nice to know something about KA-Ts and its potentials...
Im not going to tell you about the pros and cons.. im sure you can find that out by yourself.. (cuz thats were the fun is)

plan:
drive the hell out of the car
see what happens and what needs to be replaced
too much planning and chit chat
more time needs to be spending beating on the car at the track

yeah why is it that people always say they want to start really driving their car after they have "finished" with everything. you should learn how to drive it stock and just keep learning as you put more and more stuff on it.

Things don't happen in "order." My plans are totally fuked da hell up because of recently blown shocks. But oh well, that means new coilovers and lower lap times. Just keep your mind on your mission and you'll have fun...even if you do things out of order. But follow Dousan's and Rookie2nr's advice, track the hell out of your car. In my experience, this makes modifications that much sweeter (you will actually see/feel a difference).
