Ok I'm gonna try to explain this as best as I can...my problem is....

I just purchased a Kenwood headunit. I connected the stereo wiring harness to the Nissan Amp wiring harness I got through crutchfield. Since the Headunit has an internal amp, I got the "amp supported" if you will, wiring harness. After I connected up all the wiring I plug the harnesses into my headunit and the cars wiring harness. It powers on fine. Now when I goto test the radio I have a little problem. Every function seems to be working except the volume. I have too turn the headunits volume all the way up to even start to hear music out of my speakers. I've looked all throughout the manual and the troubleshooting guides they have given me aren't doing me any good. I even tried turning off the internal amp to the receiver and that just cut the sound totally. Now i'm wondering if I have to disable the factory amp? If so how do I do this? I read on the wiring harness that its supposed to be compatiable with factory amped systems, example, Bose and JBL were given. I'm really stuck and have no clue where to go from here? Do any of you have any suggestions? If you do I'd really appreciate some help. thanks for reading my novel :duh:

I'm guessing you're trying to do an S14. Pain in the ass. You're gonna have to bypass your factory amp and hook the Kenwood speaker outputs to the speaker inputs right after the stock amp. Tell me the year of your car and I can tell you which wires to splice into.

actually i'm retarded..the harness had a Input "switch" on it where u can adjust the levels going to each speaker...it was down all the way, after some tweaking I got them all work good. Thanks for the help tho
