I have read many threads on the 3071 vs 3076 GT vs GTX etc
My Question is this. How do i maximize spool time with this turbo ? i would like spool ( positive boost) to be in the 3700 -4000 RPM Range
I will be going to re-dyno in a few weeks and want to maximize my dyno time

You need a twin-scroll housing and manifold.
For those power goals you should of got a GT3071R instead..pair that with a twin scroll mani and rear housing and that will get you very fast spool

Cheaper than manifold and divided housing is quickspool valve and divided housing.
Get large a/r divided housing to make power up top, use quick spool valve to get it spooling like small a/r. Might need to add a tad bit of length into down pipe.
Or get Nawssssss.

I got a screamin deal on the 3076 and that is why i picked it up.

also i am running a 38mm ext wg so would a quick spool valve do the trick ?

Yes it will, and will only get better, when you go twin scroll and swap manifolds.

I guess i will need to call the company to get more clarification on how it would work with my current setup so i can further understand.
thank you for the info btw

thank you. i am not certain on the comment of adding length to downpipe but i am certain it will all be clear once i talk with the company who produces these

I think the haltech can run a nitrous system.
The idea is to use 25BHP nitrous jets to spool the turbo, and cut nitrous when going positive. It works very well. I remember a lotus elise or exige video in a time attack event, with a massive turbo and that system. The thing spooled nearly like it was NA.
Try to find that video, it must be a couple years old now. Will work better than any twinscroll manifold or quickspool valve, to the point where you may need a vacuum pump to power your brake assistance.

We setup a QSV on the turbo mutang is it most certainly helped. We utilized two wastegates (60mm), instead of the internal gate and the flapper. Made substanially faster spool up and torque.
Fed all the exhaust through the one side of the pipe to the one side of the divided housing. Once the second 'wastegate' saw 3-4psi of boost, it opened up (again 60mm) allowing all of the exhaust to hit the turbo then. Crude but worked.

If you say you got a screaming deal, why not sell the .82 a/r unit and get a .63 version? That's if you don't want the hassle of nitrous, or the quick spool valve( which is way overpriced for it's simpliCity imho)

the 3076 is used (in good condish) no noticeable play. I def made an impulse buy.
I don't want to hassle with trying to resell and ship. I know i know i am being unreasonable and probably shooting myself in the foot. However I am anxious to get it to dyno and out of the garage.
Maybe after dyno ill post it to trade as that is a very good idea. I am just running out of time until dyno appt day
