Dang, this is far up north. Irwindale is closer than this.

if you like paying a hundred bucks, sitting in line all day, watching instructors cut into the front of the lines, yeah irwindale is great!

I signed up, see you guys there! My uncle lives across the street from the dragstrip, in Fairhaven, so that is sweet. Im gonna be driving up from Willows, and staying up there for that week.

The cost of gas money to/from this event already makes ANY Irwindale event cheaper.

Even from the Bay area this is a good 200+ miles away.

For the average SoCal person Irwindale is a VERY AFFORDABLE VENUE.

For the average NorCal person, it's a tossup.

Just don't compare this DGTA event to an Irwindale event... it's like comparing a road race event at Laguna Seca to the same type of event at Monaco. The cost of the Monaco event might be cheaper and you might get more track time, but the travel expense to there makes it more cost-prohibitive. Especially if you bust your car up in Eureka, can you imagine the cost of towing the car home? AAA only covers 100 miles and Eureka is ~600 miles away from my home. Irwindale? ~35 miles.

BTW if instructors "cutting" in line at Drift Day events was such a problem (more than one person has complained since this past weekend), why do people just let it be and not address it to Moto or Taka or Naoki? I haven't seen any of this in person so I will not pass judgement on this but it seems like those that are witness to this type of activity are letting it happen and not doing anything to prevent it.

I'm with Alex on this one.

Can't justify the drive to Irwindale OR Eureka. Thats why I'm going to the NCDA event in Tracy instead. :D

<--doesnt do SoCal events.. not worth it

Yeah, Alex Chang(bang).

He's much cooler than you. :(

j/k

You'd both have to have a brawl to the death to determine who is the superior Alex...

Anyhow, back on topic. Same reason I dont go to Buttonwillow... too far, gas is expensive. motor no likey. :P
