NOTE: Final price drop! If I don't sell it by next weekend. I will close the ad and the price goes up significantly.
Price lowered to 6300.00
I have lowered this price quite a bit from when I originally posted on other forums. This a clean car and worth every bit the asking price. So here we go!
This a very nice clean title Z overall. Alot of work has been done to it. It runs and handles great. It has the origimatching #'s engine with 97,000 miles on it. Here's the break down. I will include lots of pics and a video of it. More has been done since the video was taken. All things i list were done within the lst two plus years unless I state previous owner. Im the 3rd owner of the car. The car was bought new by previous owners motherinlaw. He got the Z from her back in 95. I purchased it from him in june of 2010.
Drive train: As said before original engine with good compression1-4 cylinders read 120 an d 5,6 read 130. The car has electron ignition installed by previous owner. I had an alternator conversion done. It's running a 84-89 300ZX non turbo alternator. Exhaust system has been done. Im running 2 1/4 inch exhaust from the headers back. It flows through a Magnaflow muffler. Im also running a cherry bomb and a cat to keep things less noisy and to help with burning excess fuel. These cars like to stink! The Z has a nice sound and doesn't smell as bad as it did. So I believe it's running much cleaner. Also had rebuilt Ztherapy carbs installed about two months ago. Very nice investment. The car has never run better. The Z has a 5sp from a later model 280ZX. I had it rebuilt about a year and a half ago.The gears were grinding in second. I had them add a new clutch while they were at it.
Electrical: All the electrical under the dash and engine bay has been cleaned up and everthing works as it should. A good friend of mine is very good with electrical. He used the factory manual to help read were everything went. He also added a couple of dummy lights to tell me if the alternator is not charging well. It definitely works. Saved my butt a couple of times. All lights work, but have a couple that need bulbs. One of the lower amber turn signals up front needs a bulb and one of the back upo lights. Not a big deal just haven't made time to fix it. Was having issues with the wiper and the fuse block. He fixed all of that aswell. I bought a restored wiper motor and arms. He did the wiring and I installed the parts. Works like brand new. the wiper parts were very expensive but worth it. I can talk pricing with you later on the work done. Had a pioner sterior put in back in march just befor the MSA show. I also had new 6x9 and some 5 inch speakers put in aswell. The 6x9's are placed in the MSA custome speaker box. The 5' were placed in custom boxes that were made by the guy who did my stereo. the stereo has bluetooth aswell.
Brakes, suspension, wheels and tires: I've got hawk brake pads up front. I can't remember if i did the rears. But thge rotors were machined at that time. The pads have about 2500 miles on them. The Z rides on polished 280zx turbo wheels with falken tires. The tires are still in very good shape. Im guessing the tires have about 5-6 thousand miles on them. The suspension consists of Eibach springs and stock shock. I also installed lower sway bars front and rear aswell as upper strut bars front and back. The Z is nice and tight and handles pretty good. Only thing i would do is put some tokico illuminas on it.
Exterior interior: The car is pretty rust free. There are a couple of areas were the paint bubbled but nother even close to be bad.The paint is gonna need some help at some point. It's old and has some cracking in a couple of spots. But over all a decent with a nice color. The car was rearended years ago but repaired. The damage was on the driver side back corner by the tailight. It wasn't done that great so we went in there and did some repair work ourselves. Turned out pretty good. The interior is in fair shape (it's white). So there is some staining. The seats had been redone at some point. The driver side has about a 3 inch scraped on one side. But over all in good condition.
Reason for selling is i want something different. I'd like to get a turbo 240Z,a BMW M3 96-98 or something else all together. Trades are welcome depending on the car. Can't see spending anymore time and money on modifying such a clean Z.
Well I think that covers most of it. Let me know what you thin 6300.00
