Anyone running with the KA have any issues with your computer throwing codes for bad O2 sensors and knock sensors when they were just replaced?

i replaced my knock sensor 2 yrs ago , about 6 months ago my mpg went down 2 mpg ,no service light , i installed a ultragauge monitor , it said i had a 325 code ( bad knock sensor ) , i replaced the knock sensor ( it was open ) with a 560,000 ohm resistor , reset ecm , now car runs much better as the ecm was retarding the timing , gas milage went up 2 mpg . no more code for knock sensor . did you reset the ecm.
1997 240sx 112,000 miles automatic , only things done --injen cai--greddy cat back--under drive crank pulley , great car with leather , sun roof , green .

yea i reset my ecm. the codes typically only come up when i set on the gas to pass someone. doesnt happen very often. only the second time. it has happened in 11 months. i havent had a decrease in performance or gas mileage. just curious to see if anyone has similar issues

whats reseting the ecm?
1- remove passenger side kick panel , unbolt ecm
2- turn ign to on , don't start engine
3- turn the screw on side of ecm to diagnostic mode all the way cw , wait 2 seconds.
4- turn the screw back fully ccw . wait 30 seconds.
5- " " " fully cw , wait 5 seconds
6- " " " fully ccw, wait 3 seconds
7- start the engine , let it run at least 15 seconds
8- turn engine off and wait 10 seconds , repeate steps 2 and 3
9- after step 3 is repeated look inside ecu diagnostic window and watch the led , it should flash code 55 ----- ----- , this is your all clear code.
i have never seen mine flash , but this procedure works to clear codes.

yea its really strange. my check engine light comes on and throws the same two codes every so often and it only happens when i go to pass someone. i've checked the sensors and they check out good.

As stupid as this sounds check your coolant temp sensor, when mine goes out I throw codes for o2, knock, leaky injector etc. Spent a lot of money tracking that ghost down until someone told me about the CTS. IDK why but I have never got the CTS code before.

Knock sensor wiring have a tendency to get shitty and break. Its probably starting to act up.

With the o2 Sensor and the knock sensor codes being thrown , doesnt this cause your car to drive differently?

I have those 2 plus code 105 (IACV sensor at the bottom of the intake manifold). I haven't looked into it further and they come back if I reset the ECU.

i will have to look into that.

my knock sensor wiring is new. replaced it with the sensor since it was all shitty at the time.

not sure but i know that my car runs the same either way which is pretty good at the moment.

Is it possible that it could be bad ground/alternator thats making it throw codes?

that could be the case as well although on my end it would be more of a bad ground somewheres. i have a brand new alternator
