Okay I'm a noob. I just want to know what you guys think is the best way to build an sr20det. Please specify parts and brands. From the intake to the exhaust and even internals of the block. Be specific please and thank you.

Buy preassembled bottom end from Mazworx that has all provisions for VVL head to be bolted to it, and have fun....

If 100 people really took the time to reply, you'd get 100 different different answers. The best way to "build" an SR is to buy & drive it stock (or as close to stock as humanly possible), do research & learn about it along the way; and add a little at a time based on your budget, performance asipirations & level of skill/knowledge. Don't get hung up on brand names & things like that until you develop a basic understanding of how not just the motor, but everything works together to make the car do what you want it to do.

The power a stock SR puts out is a lot of fun & reliable. If you are really looking for advice, the best advice I can offer besides what's above is to make handling and stoppping priority one before you worry about putting any more ponies to the floor. Tires, suspension & brakes not only win races; but they also add an essential element of safety (relative term of course lol) by giving the car what it needs to be driven more aggressively as power & torque are added.

Above all else, HAVE FUN & LEARN~

ill buy a RB30DET instead its an engine from a R35 skyline that will fit into a 240sx

Read read and when you get tired of reading read some more with some knowledge you may save a few bucks and avoid the mistakes the many mistakes some of us made.No doubt horsepower is a lot of fun and definitely make your handling and your brakes you #1 priority you can start way ahead of the engine swap.Also just because X brand is more expensive that don't mean is better.One more thing the swap don't include skills to drift you have to learn it first. Don't do like my friend that same day he finished the swap he totaled the car with no insurance $7500+ down the drain.
