For those with 18X8 size wheels on S14s, what tires do you have or have experienced that will fit good for fender and future coilover clearance and what was your offsets? (no fender rolling)

The wheels Im purchasing are 40mm offset (30mm is out of stock) MB Designs

I hear 225/40 is good, but the guy at Discountiredirect.com told me that 225/40 will be too tall and wide and also that 30mm offset will hit the fender for S14 application which I dont think he's right because you guys say in other posts its fine,
so will 215/40 be ok to be on the safe side?

ps Im done with racing, too much problems, so just use ride for cruising, so dont need wider widths,

The guy at Mackin industries (volk racing) told me to get 18x8 with 235/40 18 and a 24mm offset in front and 18x9 with 255/35 18 and a 28mm offset in the back to clear coilovers with no fender rolling and it will be fluuuussshhh

i have 18x9 +20 225-40-18 front
18x10 +13 rear 245-40-18 rear
rear fenders pulled, front rolled. tucking, lip flush against fender, tire tucked inside...no rubbing...that to me is perfect flushness

although today, i witnessed 18x9 +9 215-40-18 front, 19x10.5 +26 245-35-19 (yes NINETEEN BY TEN AND A HALF), rolled fenders only, tucked and no ruubbing!!!! damn!

18x8 +40 will be nowhere near "flush" unless if u put 265-40-18 and consider tires up against fender "flush"

No fender roling and no crazy camber...
