I had this problem on my car a couple weeks ago.
The fuse for that should be in the kick panel on drivers side.

My problem was the plastic piece that presses the button broke on the brake pedal.

I also had this problem on my car a few weeks back. Found out it was the plastic/rubber stopper that the brake light switch rests on. It's a few inches up from your brake pedal if you follow it, and you should see that your switch for the brake lights are also facing that area. I had to temporarily use a penny there for the switch to open for my lights to turn off while I was waiting for the rubber stopper from CourtesyParts.

If your cheap or can't find the rubber stopper just jb weld a penny over the spot.

Up until this thread I did not know courtesy, or anyone, had that stopper. Looks like that's something to add to my next big order.

I actually put in a bolt instead of the rubber/plastic stopper. the head of the bolt is the same length of the stopper and i dont want to run into the problem of that breaking again. it was kind of a b*tch to get that in there though.

Just put some locktight on it because you don't want to go through that again, I gave up and just glued a penny on after about the 15th time dropping the bolt.
