View Full Version : Coilover and sway bar question!
Im going to install my coils and sway bars tomorrow but idk which i should do first or if it even matters :confused: i was planning to take my old struts off (front) and take off the stock sway bar (front) put the new sway bar on and then the coils. same step for the rear. let me know wat u guys think :Ownedd:

Do both at the same time. Its easier to bring the lca/spindle up to the coilover with the sway bar unbolted.
How am I supposed to do them at the same time? Lol

Make sure you adjust the coilover height so there is no preload on the sway bars ... otherwise the car is going to try to murder you every time it hits a bump or a hole.
To do that, bolt everything but leave 1 front and 1 rear droplink unbolted (put the half bush and the rod, but dont bolt it to the lower arm), then lower the car, move it front and rear so the suspension settles, then see how high or low you have to set the coilovers so that the half bush of the sway bar is touching the lower arm, but not pushing on it.
Yes, it is a pain to do it. Either that or get murdered on the first pothole you hit at high speed, been there, dont ever want to do it again :Owned:
