so i just figured out all the wiring and nonsense for my s13 and a couple days ago i went to start it, it cranked but the battery was dead so it didnt start. i left it on the battery charger overnight and i went to start it with the battery fully charged and the starter just clicks. i think its the cca's in the battery but i was wondering if theres anything else that could have possibly happened (relay, fuse, etc..) my battery is in the trunk and i know it is a reliable swap i put in also i bought a new starter for it.

new starter? the battery is most likely dead.
The click you hear is it from the solenoid from the starter?
Most likely dead batt.

Dead battery
Loose terminals

Or bad starter

i bought a brand new starter and brand new battery today, hooked everything up and its just like a fast click from the solenoid. tried another good starter also got the same results. the car i didnt know was hacked out the ass with the wiring harness. im thinking its a ground or something it wired wrong

its not a slow click like a dead battery its more like a fast click. the starter engages but doesnt spin when we bench tested it and this is a brand new starter also tried another ka starter and same results.

well not bench tested but kept the wires hooked up and jumped the solenoid with a power probe and also hooked up the solenoid wire and tried it that way but it engaged and didnt spin both times.

my ka-e did the same thing, turned out the motor was not grounded well enough.

If you don't have one nows a good time to buy a multi meter. check the power wire to, if its pinched or bent. it could have broken strands inside.

check your ignition switch.
