I searched and searched on this car but found no results. Sorry if this is a repost. This s13 looks flawless and is very beautiful. Looks close to what I had in mind when I planned on buidling my own, and it seems to be a fair price. What do you all think about it? Anyone know the owner or is he on the forums? Thanks! :bigok:

Looks great appearance-wise. Very nice wheels... I think he needs more negative camber though, to me it doesn't look like there's any negative in the rear. :tweak:
The engine looks somewhat messy with all the vacuum hoses going everywhere, but I guess that's inherent in turbo'd cars. It probably wouldn't be too hard to move some lines out of the way to clean it up. I seriously doubt it makes 300hp though since all it has is an intercooler, intake and exhaust and is running at near-stock boost levels.
Interior looks stock... not much to say about that.
So assuming the car started off in good shape: ~$2000 (probably more though since it's in California)
Blacktop SR + intercooler, intake, exhaust, etc. : maybe 4000 not including "professional installation."
Random interior and stereo bits: 1000?
Suspension and brakes: ~2100?
Paint and body kit: 3000? who knows really, all depends on who painted it
So our theoretical total = ~12000 + labor
I'd offer him 9,000...
his car was for sale on the cars for sale forum, gues he didnt get a good offer.
but thats one nice car though

Yah good looking car, problem is no one wnats to pay the money for a ten year old 240sx. Alot of people tend to low-ball when it comes to looking for a 240.

Yups...But if you look at it...the cars done rite. I mean $12k something thats done tastefully compared to how much time and effort you would have to put into another car just to get it to the same level. Im sorry but $9k would be a lowball. Just the engine and accesories for it would have costed between $5k-$6k depending on where he got the clip. $1.5k for the interior and electronic stuff. Another $1.6k for suspension. Id say close to $2k for the 5 lug/brake conversion. $1.8k for the vertex kit. Work rims size 18" will run you from $2.5-$3k and another $400 for the Kumho *$99 a pop before mounting and balance* Comes up to roughly $15k before price of the CAR itself, labor, paintjob, and other miscellaneous stuff he got into the car *eg: 180sx tails, pivot sleepy eyes, and the fun part of piecing this car together* =p

I guess I just think differently... sure it'd be nice if we ever sold our cars that we could sell it for the cost of the car + retail price for every aftermarket part, but that's just a pipe dream. Someone might buy it, but that still doesn't mean that the car is worth what was paid for it.
Unless it comes in a big plastic wrapper I wouldn't pay that much, just my opinion. :boink:

True True...im just saying cuz im goin tru that process rite now. Just spent $8k on my engine and my car still no where close to where id like it to be. The way i see it, id prolly spend another $10k to be fuckin content with it. I guess thats another 5 yrs of eating top ramen for me to get there. =p

I definitely understand where you're coming from though. :)
People (usually the older ones, who were doing the same shit when they were my age) always tell me not to bother modding my car because I'll never get any money out of it. While this is somewhat true, I still don't care...
I plan on keeping the car forever. :rawk: That's how long it's going to take me to finish it :p
