your 90 should be SOHC, the 95 is DOHC. as far as chassis differences, I think the S14 has a nicer interior. It's of course, more modern, but to add to that the seats hold you much better. The chassis is also less tossable than the S13 I think. My S13 was like a toy that I could fling around through turns. The S14 has a much more mature attitude to it IMO. Even after modding suspension it just seems smoother. This could all just be in my head though.....
Just some random observations on it being one of those who went from the S13 to the S14. If you have any specific Q's just ask.

Just took a test drive today in a '98, and I've driven a '90 for the last 4 years or so. The '95 should be fairly close to the '98, although it's a bit lighter and quicker, I think.
The '95 and up 240s were retargeted for older baby boomers who wanted to look sporty but didn't want to actually deal with the "discomfort" of a sports car. As such, the suspension is softened. Compared to my '90, the car I drove today felt quieter, more refined, and more isolated. Those are good or bad depending on your attitude. It was definitely faster throughout the rev band than my SOHC '90. It feels much more like a sedan than a sports car, however. The ride was nice - it reminded me a lot of a Honda Civic. But like the civic it's made to be comfortable above all - not sporty. It wasn't nearly as nimble or as tossable as an S13. It felt heavier and bigger, although it really isn't very much of either.
I bet a lot of suspension mods would bring back the sportiness that nissan took pains to remove from the car, but I'm not really sure. According to Car & Driver, the '95 was the fastest 240 they tested, reaching 60 in 7.5 seconds, .4 seconds faster to 60mph than the '92 they tested.
Still, it was nice. I'm debating what to get after I get rid of my '90, and though I'm leaning towards another S13, I think I still might get a '95. Def. needs some modification, though, I'd say.
