Here's the thing, I plan to go individual throttle bodies on my 1992 Ka24de and have been reading up on every write up I could find. Everything seems to be easy to piece together except when it comes down to the tuning of air/fuel. Every write up says that I will need to use a standalone ECU and 2 of them said that I will need to convert to a distributor-less ignition. I would much rather just keep my distributor and regulate my fuel. My question is, does anyone know of a simpler way to control the fuel rather than a standalone ECU? Would it be possible to run a piggyback ECU and tune from there? Or even simpler, does it seem plausible that I could tune off of an air/fuel gauge with a chipped and tuned STOCK ECU using the TPS? Does anyone here have history or experience with itb tuning? What am I missing or forgetting about?

use the stock MAF. the first gen BMW M3 had itb`s with MAF. make a plenum that the itb`s can share so that all of them will suck thru the MAF. then you could either use an adjustable fpr to tune the fuel, S AFC, or an ecu remap. i don`t see why you can`t use the stock distributor.

Yes I have thought about that but id really like to keep them open with individual filters. If nobody can help me though I may have to try that option. Thanks.
