Since there is all this talk about gas, I have a glorious solution to our problem. EVERYONE SHOULD DRIVE SPORTS CARS! Why you ask? Well its quite simple actually, you see there's a big problem these days with cars. It seems as if auto makers are resurrecting all the big ass gas guzzler engines of yester- year. Sure its cool that the new Shelby Cobra has a big v-10 and the ferrari enzo only gets 8miles to the gallon. That shit has got to stop! Here we are, all 240sx owners using 4 cylinder engines with and withought turbos. I have seen SR20DET'S dyno at 450 to the wheels before and still maintain relatively decent gas milelage. If the whole world owned japanese sports cars with such as: Lancer Evo, WRX, Z32, 240sx, Toyota Supra or Nissan Skyline or the wonderful Hachi Roku, the world would be a better place. Old people wouldn't drive anymore, they'd be to scared to go out on the streets. But if Grandma wants to drift, by all means let her try! Insurance rates would all be the same! But most importantly no more outrageous SUV'S. Why buy that Explorer when a WRX STI can get you there faster? Got a family? Make the Japanese import the Stagea Wagon with the RB25DET and ATTESA 4wd, boom problem solved! The fact is V-8's are cool if you like paying for gas. With my proposition alot of gas will be saved, and hey we can always run on methanol!

although i gotta agree on SUVs. You need to tow something? Get a truck. You need to get somewhere? Get a sedan. Combining both in one gas guzzling machine? I don't know why people buy them :ghey:

A better way to implement your proposition would be to make the "approved" import cars exempt from speeding tickets. Make all the SUVs drive on the shoulder of the road or on offroad trails. Slow, incompetent drivers must stay in the "retard lane" That should provide enough incentive for people to change willingly. At least all the stupid SUVs would break down within a few months of off road driving. However, some exceptions should be made for V-8s: 1.) Any domestic muscle car is allowed for owners with a mullet hair style 2.) If its an import 4 door luxury sedan, and you also have an import 2 seater sports car but have a family to haul around. 3.) Its a blown Interceptor modified Mad Max style and is used to enforce the new policy by destroying offending vehicles. 4.) Any custom ride made by George Barris. I still want to own the Batmobile.

it would be alright if everyone rode motorcycles. They get like 40mpg , run low 10's to high 9's stock(any decent bike) but the SUV's never see em. I almost got hit more than a handful of times when i used to ride. Banana, i will vote for you and i have some more ideas that will help the world.

The only FWD cars should be inline 4's no bigger than 2.4L. FWD V-8 caddies should be banned from earth forever.
Any mountain roads shall be maintained with ractrack quality pavement and closed off for public race usage from 12am-4am.
People over the age of 65 will have to pass a vigorous driving test(skidpad, slalom, 1/4 miles and J-turns) to keep their license
16 year olds getting their license will have to come within 30 seconds of Drift King's best time in the same car on the same racetrack.
Gas prices for SUV's without a full load should be 10 dollars per gallon
The minimum octane of gas to be used will be 97 @ 2.00 per gallon
Toyota will be ordered to build another 2300 pound rear will drive car like the ae86 only with a more durable frame and a turbocharged hayabusa engine, and better handling.
Every summer night will be 75 degrees with a light breeze.
Deer will no longer be allowed to live near mountain passes.
Dmv will be 50 stories tall with over 10,000 employees to take care of that MOTHERFUCKING LINE OUT THE DOOR.

Yes,yes! my empire has begun. Very soon all will be driving rwd imports with great gas milelage and high horespower engines. No more overpriced caddies, no more retarded drivers, no more bastards with SUVS smashing into shit and flipping over. I would also implement that only small trucks that can tow race cars be on the road. I also say we make a American Autobahn that only allows cars capable of speeds 160mph over to be on it! And every state shall have a drift track that is maintained by the government and has free admission so everyone can drive well. As for the DMV all the people who work there will be replaced by 100% efficient Robots that dont need lunch breaks or need to take a shit. Somehow I will manage to manipulate weather patterns making it a perfect 75 degrees everynight. Also I will lower gas prices and make 110 octane affordable!

supras dont really get good gas mileage, i usually get about 17-19 mpg, not too far from the ford explorer

lol. if everyone drove rwd, high horsepower 4 cylinder engines i wouldn't want to drive on public roads anymore. walking on sidewalks would be a huge hazard. simple rwd cars like the 240 require above average knowledge of driving physics and sensitive braking, throttle and steering (at least compared to fwd). combine that with taking away understeer prone FF mechanics, traction control, ABS, automatic transimission and other nifty little quirks that come with most cars today and i guarantee everyone will die in horrible car accidents.

anyway if u want to save gas and make the roads safe force everyone to drive civic hybrids. :hsdance:
