I got a set of tein coilovers for my s13 but the rings on it are seized so bad that there is no way I can get them off I've tried heat pb blaster air hammers and shit with no luck. Is there a way I can order two new rings for it? I can't really find much. I emailed tein about this but I am not sure if I will have much luck with that.

What good are new rings if you can't get the old ones off? Call up Touge Factory or a few other shops if Tein doesn't respond. I honestly have no clue where you would get replacement rings.

I can get the old ones off no problem nothing a small cutting wheel won't solve if your careful. But I will try that, I left them on till I figured out if I can get my old ones off but I deffenitiy don't wanna leave them like this.

Try hitting the rings really hard with a hammer. Use a piece of wood as a cushion. The rust on the threads is probably what is causing the lockup. Hitting the area with a hammer will break the rust loose.

I've tried that as well, I've tried 3 different hammers, I've tried a torch, a air hammer, everything. It just keeps banging up the rings even worse no matter what I try.

I had a similar problem awhile back and threw them in warm solvent for a bit and then let them sit for a while (days), pulled them out, had my friend armed with a hammer and punch on one collar while I was on the other and went to town.

Ok well I took the easy way out of this and got lucky, I got in contact with Tein today. They sent me the instruction manual for the coilovers that has the part numbers on it and ordered me a new set of adjustment rings. I ran up the oReilys today and got a aluminum cutting wheel that was really thin and just cut a slice down the side of the seized up rings and they popped right off. I am just waiting now for the new rings to get in so I can actually set the ride height for my car. I will put up some pics of how it went in a minute.
