View Full Version : MO WTB: S14 SR20 short block
I had detonation and destroyed my block (needs sleeves).
Looking for a short block in good shape, but doesn't have to be perfect. I would prefer a block with cylinder walls in good shape but if yours needs some work, no big deal since I can't seem to find any...
Thanks for looking,
Brad

Are you wanting a bare block? I have one with new oem pistons and rings, no crank though.

yeah, I mean I prefer to have it bare so that I can put in CP pistons and such, but I really just want to get back on the road with an SR.
edit: I didn't even realize there was a WTB section, sorry :/

Well I'm selling my bare block for $200 + shipping. It has been hot tanked, decked, and honed.

I have a s14 non turbo JDM SR20 block - it doesnt have oil squirter holes (which is good when using aftermarket pistons)) or turbo boles but you can drill them easy and just use a s14 turbo SR upper water neck for the turbo water line - the lower oil pan has already been tapped for turbo drain line - comes with main caps, lower pan, cap beam - I can surface it, hone it..if needed - $150 for it plus shipping (should not be more than $60)

Thinking about this, where did you see this info on the lack of o squirter holes being good for aftermarket pistons?
Come grab my S13 long block!
No thanks, trying to stay S14.

My actual trying out things - I build alot of engines - I belive Eagle used to make oil squirter blockers too a few years back... Just LMK
Not using them gives better oil pressure to where its needed most...like bearings and such...I have done it and it worked great for me...enough said on that.
another bump, still haven't found quite what I was looking for.
