It's turning over and we have spark, but it isn't firing. We put a scope on one of the injector leads and it doesn't look like it is operating.
The ECU does not show any LEDs when we power it up or try to start, so we aren't sure it is working or wired up correctly. Is there any way to bench test it?

Did u mess with any of the injector wiring? Do u have voltage to all 4? Ka24de have 4 common wires to the injectors ... Check if u have connectivity between them, if I'm not mistaken it's the red wire on all the injector clips.... If you don't have connectivity between them check the wiring by the egr valve that's appx were all the 4 wires meet... They might have been disconnected from each other....
My next step I would make sure all the injector clips are on proper cylinders ... Injector 1 with cylinder 1... Inj 2 with cylinder 2 and so on... That could cause your problem ...
Next check if your fuel lines are not switched ... The line that has the fuel filter goes to fuel rail opposite to the fuel pressure regulator
Also what do u mean it isn't firing? When it's starting over ? Can u post a video?

Sounds like what the sr20 i just bought is doing. The guy also jumped the car backwords though. But it cranks but just wont turn over. Im going to try what you suggested when i get it in my garage, also going to switch out the ecu. Johnny if you know anyone with a ka24de take your ecu out and hook it up to their car and see if it starts.

There is no voltage to any of them. The connectors are hooked up correctly and the fuel lines are not switched (already double-checked all of that).
The engine turns over when we try to start it, but there is no combustion.

so the car starts then dies? if their is no combustion it shoud'nt start, so i understand you do have spark? have you done a compression test? also since u said u have no voltage on the clips, have u checked your fuses and try another relay for the fuel? i believe its the eccs one.... like i said earlier check with your volt meter for connectivity ( to check if your touching the same wire) so from all the injectors to the ecu 109 seems to be the pin out make sure they are all touching
also make sure the color of the injectors are in the right spot look at the diagram below to comfirm ooopppp edit u said u checked that nvm

Thanks for the replies - turns out it was bad wiring. After correcting that, we were able to get it running.

Was it the wiring I was referring too?lol

No, our engine harness is whole, but we don't have a chassis harness, so all of that is custom and that's where the problem was - the ECU was getting intermittent power.
