I've decided to put my Silvia up for sale or trade. I'm not positive if I want to let it go, because this car is so reliable and gets looks and comments from every person you pass. But, before we get into that, I'll go ahead and give you the rundown of the entire car.

Period Correct Veilside Front Bumper and Sideskirts (Not Reproduction)

Car is currently on SSR's, but has had many different wheel setups. The wheels pictured above are no longer with the car, just shown for reference on what a different set of wheels looks like for it.

Car is currently on SSR Integral A2 Lightweight Japenese Wheels
Front:18x7+23 with a 225/40/18
Rear:18x8+35 with a 245/45/18 (Could use a slightly shorter tire with a spacer for better fitment. Personal preference.)

Other than the listed modifications, the car is bone stock. That means that the motor has not had more than factory boost, the factory airbox remains untouched, and everything works as it should. This car is an absolute blast to drive. I've drove other SR swapped S14's, and you'd be surprised how well a factory installed motor runs. The harness isn't hacked, rewired, spliced, and all the sensors remain in their intended location, making for an excellently running car. It makes boost quickly, and pulls very linear and smoothly with no hiccups or problems.

The car has not been VIN swapped, and is state titled and currently insured and driven daily. When you want to remain under the radar, you simply roll up the tinted windows and click on the digital climate control and cruise along just like a 240sx. Just be forewarned, that at every car meet, gas station, restaurant, and stop light, you will be asked questions and given random signs of approval. The car gets double takes and honks with a big thumbs up every time I get on the highway. People seem to love the uniqueness of the car.

There are some things that should be addressed as problems. The paint has small chipping around the rear fenders with the previous wheel setup being too aggressive. The paint also has a few blemish spots, one by the forward bottom side of the rear passenger wheel well, and one on the rear bumper. The front bumper was cracked in two due to a very aggressive driveway, and has been repaired but would stand a repainting. I am currently waiting for a time block that's open with my painter to get the bumper repainted. Being white, it's not very noticeable from anything over 5 feet. Besides the small paint flaws, the car runs flawlessly and performs as it did the day it left the showroom floor.

The price is set at 18,000. I will accept trades, but please be realistic when offering me something. I would be interested in an STi (hawkeye preferred), EVO 9, 03 -- 04 Cobra, purpose built S2k's, possibly an R32, and a multitude of other things. I flat out do not want a FWD car, period. Truthfully, I do not want another S chassis car unless it is LS swapped and there is cash coming my way. I will accept trades plus cash, or I will add cash for the right car. I know what the value of this car is. There will be no more imported into the states anymore, and there is hardly ever a bone stock and unmolested S14 Silvia. Of course, Cash is King, and I will consider all reasonable offers. Shipping at buyers expense.

Yes, I'd price it with an R32 gts-t.

I rather buy a new car with that price. Clean car btw. glws.

You can buy a year old Yaris for the price of what a lot of people ask for a well done S13. I fail to see the relevance. You're comparing apples to oranges.

Supra price range. Ouch. Glws.

I haven't seen any Supra locally selling for less than 20k. Unless we're talking NA, or auto with high miles. Even still, why would a mid 90's factory turbo rare Nissan be different from a mid 90's factory turbo rate Toyota.

i dont even know what to say bud...18k is just..dude you know better

Well it seems like you won't be purchasing my car.

Folks I understand that many of you will not be able to purchase this car. The truth of the matter is that S14 silva's that are state titled do not pop up too often. It's a supply and demand situation. I see r32's and r33's more often than these, and especially an unmolested one.

Thank you for the bumps, folks. Make me an offer that you feel is appropriate if the price is not to your liking. The worst I'll say is "no thank you."

Also, it's not that rare. Get over yourself.

Stephen, I'm not sure what got your panties in a wad.

Please, mind your own business before you sling misinformation. This car is not 25 years or older, and you know the law being that you have some cars that you supposedly "keep in storage to avoid the problems" to quote you. It is state titled and insured under it's original VIN. Not sure what else there is to say to please you. You are not purchasing the car, plain and simple.

To the other people, PM's have all been replied to.

You don't have to be a dick about it. Just because a car is rhd or gone through a loop hole doesn't mean it's anymore dangerous. It's all the driver not the car.

Exactly. Yes, in Japan these are cheap. Getting them here, and actually having a factory VIN plate with state registration isn't easy. This car was imported many years ago, before the big hype with kids thinking their 5k saved money will net them a JDM car. The possibilities of finding one of these unmolested and well taken care of is simply hard to find years after they were produced.

The Veilside kit certainly isn't for everyone's taste in style. I don't mind it, only because it's what the car came with off the boat and it's a nostalgia/period correct thing. Either way, it's something easily changed if someoe doesn't enjoy it.

Yeals the front bumper isnt in style anymore the truth of the matter is that out of the ENTIRE car thats the one thing that needs to be replaced to suit more tastes but Hey whoever buys the car can put it up for sale (It is a Genuine Veilside like it or not its worth $$$ and may appeal to someones taste) then they can spend that money on a good front. But your talking about 1 $150-300 part on a car Worth $15,000+ still a great investment if you ask me

this car is probably worth 14k in the state its in... Sorry bro but 18k is too much for a silvia in this condition.. If it had a super clean bodykit, race interior, super clean wheels and a fresh paintjob it would be worth your asking price. For 18k I can import a clean s15. Glws man, hope it eventually sells..

Bobo, There are other ways to import a car than the classic car laws (25 year old rule) the car is state titled so its "legal" in that state....its a loophole and so far it seems to be working but it can still be seized if the person gets a total shithead cop or is at the wrong place at the wrong time or goes to another state or etc etc BUT chances are no one will ever bother. hell most of us drive SRed s-chassiss and those are just flat out illegal...

thats a sick car btw, one of the few true S14 Silvias I've seen...I see no reason why you wont get within a reasonable margin of your asking price....on the other that front bumper is NOT to my liking. that is a weird looking front bumper....but thats just my opinion...the rest of the car is gorgeous.

Thanks man.

The car was brought over many many years ago. When it was brought over, it was inspected by the state and given a state title under the original VIN. It is a grey market car. I drive it every day and have no problems. Even being pulled over, it's nothing different than in a USDM car.

Update:

For all of those who couldn't get past the Veilside bumper, I'm sure you'll like this look more. I replaced it with a legit Origin bumper. Had it fitted and sprayed with 3 stage paint. No skimping out.

I also had the rust spot that was by the lower wheel well replaced. I had a patch panel put in, and did everything the right way. Also had the fenders re-rolled correctly and touched up.

There are no paint flaws on the car now. Entire car has been gone through and touched up for any imperfections.

I may be ordering wheels for the car tomorrow. We'll see. If I do, I'll be sure to update with more pictures.

It's not really a bunch of broke scrubs, as I don't agree with shitting on someone's thread others don't feel the same. The r32 gtr in NY could be bought for he same money basically. Inflating a price so high just to leave yourself a buffer for being lowballed is silly.

And a state title is not a bond release. Don't get it twisted. Asking a super premium for a state title is silly as hell. 18000 for this car in this economy is a crazy price. But I'm a firm believer that the owner should ask what he wants for it. Also, just because someone has 18000 in something that's worth 10000 doesn't mean its worth 18000.

Beautiful car! If I had the 18k I wouldn't mind buying it! But I currently only have 600 bucks to my name, and to everyone who is hating on the price and saying that they can get a skyline with that money, then why don't you? Honestly I'm such a S14 fanatic, that I would rather get an original unmolested K's Silvia than a Skyline and as such I am pretty sure there are other people like me that would do the same, except I am broke haha and they might be rich. So to the OP beautiful car, I hope the best for you and glws.

Operative term being "you're broke" and not buying anything.

And you saying what you just said is just as bad as someone saying its over priced. You're not buying it, so why say what a good deal it is. I guarantee if you were in a financial situation where you had the money to buy it, you wouldn't pay 18000. It's easy to say you spend money of you don't have any.

Hmm seems like you didn't understand the reasoning of my post, I posted solely for the fact that the OP was being bashed on over pricing, the reason why I posted was not because I'm interested in purchasing the car. Hehe I can't because I am broke like most of the other people who have posted on this thread complaining about the price. I also posted to try to show why his price of 18k to me seems reasonable, like I said an original completely unmolested Silvia K in the states is very hard to find, even if it is legal or illegal. And in addition this is the OP's car he can ask for whatever he wants, I'm pretty sure he doesn't mind keeping it and waking up in the morning to see that beauty in his garage, I for sure wouldn't mind.
