I know I've seen this discussed here before but cannot find any info now for some reason.

Putting together the front end of a friends S13 and having some issues with the steering rack bottoming out at full lock before hitting the factory bump stops.

Setup is s13 FLCAs, s13 future fabrication knuckles (very mild compared to some knuckles), S14 TEIN inner and outer tie rods with 7mm spacers and PBM eccentric rack spacers.

The knuckles came with a large spacer that is normally used on the passenger side but since he has TEIN inners the spacer will not work so we are using the 7mm spacers instead.

We can get 1 side to hit the bump stop at full lock with correct toe. If we make it so the other side hits the bump stop as well the toe will be waay off.

After messing with it for over an hour I can't figure out what's going on...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

1. Put the big spacer on your car

2. Center your steering rack

3. Adjust tie rods so wheels are straight

4. Remove steering wheel, and reattach in straight position.

5. Align car.

6. Drink beer.

It sounds like your inners are not long enough, but

Make sure the rack is centered, then adjust toe from there. If you still don't hit the bump stops then add the angle spacer and do what zar said.

Found a thread on the future fab knuckles.... apparently the spacer is needed for more rack travel.

Haven't seen this before on other knuckles so got confused.
